Benji 2025 and Beyond

We had someone wanting be our godfather and drove him out of the place.
He was too arrogant and too controlling, hmmm that reminds me of Nick.
We are only ever 4-5 smart signings away from being a substantially bettter team regardless who is coaching us.
The frustrating part is those 4-5 smart signings never seem to happen no matter who we have driving our recruitment & retention.
could god father Tim have changed that ,Pascoe n Fiasco shafted him

Just out of curiosity, do you have a pass mark for him in 26 to stay on in 27? The way it’s looking now, we are at minimum a bottom 4 side. I know a lot of people will be revisionist’s and say that was expected this year, but that’s BS. The general consensus was we would hover around the edge of the 8. Around 10th was the most popular opinion. That’s more than unlikely now. So with 3 spoons, and at best a bottom 4 finish, what’s the expectation for 27? It’s unacceptable for there to be no improvement in regards to where we finish. His free pass is surely nearing its expiry date
I totally agree

The expected our side to come at least 10th/11th.

It's not so much where we are on the table. It's that we are there due to Benji's coaching decisions.
The souths game sticks in my memory. It was unstructured attack with luck from Api vs a side that really played hard and wanted to win, but was down key people and we should have won.

Too much experimentation in the side.
Too many positional changes.

I don't blame Galvin leaving on Benji. We should have never ever had anything to do with Issac moses contracted players... EVER. We gave Bula to that idiot for no reason!

Our recruiting was excellent, but we were 2 forwards down at the start of the year.
actually thought about that yesterday
Did not mean to combine the posts, but hey...

KPP -> wing... No way.
Another team. Sure. But we have Skelton, Turuva and likely Staines that can do wing with Juniors available.

We don't have a front row. We need front rowers and are 2+ down. Till we get our front row back and Seyfarth isn't starting then forget a move like this.

ive been waiting for the team to - jell . Its sort of kind off ,almost there , but not just yet . Faark it

There is a glass n a 1/2 in every block of chocolate. But why cant 5 coaches in 8 years teach us to be smart in the 20,we really fail there on the attack. Its plain as day .

It's not about signings.

Its about how players are treated and brought on here.

Yes I agree that’s a big problem, but it appears the core of our NRL team have formed an alliance with Benji, therefore it would likely make a bad situation worse if we chose to move him on anytime soon.
Therefore the only way out of the hole we are currently in is with smart recruitment that would make a big improvement to our playing roster.

yea,

We are definately better then 2024, but now we have the stink of loosing back.
Alas, it's worse now with the injuries to Bula and Luai. It's kinda "no chance of winning" territory with those two missing.

No matter what way I try and look at it, I just can't see Benji working out. Even if we give him a couple of years to learn, I don't see him improving quickly enough to be the coach that we need. And realistically, we can't afford to have a coach learning on the job (that's what coaching pathways and being an assistant is for).

I agree but it seems he’s formed an alliance with our core senior playing group and I can see them threatening to leave if we sack Benji, so we are in a no win situation.

Yep it's the long haul now think the only thing that saves us is some new recruits made harder by the new clubs coming in though.
There could be some out there that don't want to uproot and move out of state, fingers crossed.
