Benji 2025

When you have a former employee of the club publicly coming out & saying its owners don’t invest money into its product then how will any coach succeed? The Wests Tigers problems are so much bigger than a coaching issue and have been for a very long time.
I’ve been saying this for years.

We can't put all this on Benji. He has an ex-first-grade coach in JoMo alongside him.

Is there a world where Benji would be happy to have another ex-First Grade coach on the books? Maybe that's the path.

If you put a 5 year old behind the wheel of a car and it causes a 10 car pile up, you don’t blame it on the 5 year old.

Was more than willing to give Benji this season and next (provided there isn’t a collapse) but if he is going full Sheenius by picking Naden on the bench, he can piss off because it’s inexcusable. Especially when he has TDS and Mason (prior to this week) playing reserves.

Brad Arthur being linked to the Titans. Just a rumour for now think it was posted by Buzz but if the club wants to move on from Benji IMO BA has to be the one to coach us. At the very least I wonder if Richo will give BA a call.

BA who had ten years at parra and did very little until he lost the playing group. And you think he’s the coach for the tigers I disagree

One out of ten i suppose that’s almost exceptable. Still not a premiership. If he had it parra wouldn’t have showed him the door i don’t see to many other clubs lining up for him
I’m not defending his record, however he would be a significant upgrade on Benji.

He’s the best that’s available at the moment. I’m not calling for Benji to be sacked (yet) but there are a lot of poor coaches that are available should we decide to move on. BA has a 5-5 record of making the finals, that’s better than majority of the coaches who are available. BA might not be the greatest coach in history, but he’s miles above who is out there.

I wouldnt be surprised if we got Willie Peters next year if we dont have a strong 2nd half of the season.
Don’t think we can go someone who’s not been a head coach again. The job has to go to someone who’s been a NRL head coach before, way too much risk to hire someone who’s not been one yet.

In reality. Benji is doing much better as a junior coach than the veteran coaches. Broncos, Knights, Titans, Sea Eagles etc etc etc.. Where and how do we separate reality from fiction? Maybe it's not us, apart from Bellamy and Bennett - it seems to be all about money
Well, not really.

Benji is kicking Madge's arse and hopefully the McGuire lovers can move on in this forum. Likewise Knights, Titans etc Benji is doing better.

Manly though is doing surprisingly well. I had been waiting for Siebold to fluff it and I don't believe he knows what to do. That said you have experienced hands around in Dymock, which may be helping Siebold not make colossal blunders. Plus DCE is still the peak Halfback of the comp, you don't have to do much coaching with DCE managing the team...

Siebold has been proving me wrong, I do believe he is a phoney but the results Manly have are speaking for themselves. No DCE and a more average halfback, I strongly expect Manly to slide... particularly if Turbo gets another inevitable injury.

The competition has tightened. It's not just Bellamy and Bennett, it's Webster, Ricky and Fitzy. Payton is still pushing his side to it's limits and Benji isn't at that top tier coaching level.
What's more I don't see benji learning a lot from his mistakes. Siebold at least has minders at Manly to keep him from messing up too hard. We really needed an experienced coach to guide Benji and improve on the areas where the Tigers are their weakest.

We don't have that! We have a friendship group of Morris/Hodgson/Heighington who are not going to be able to show Benji where to improve. We need an old hat.
