Didn’t he leave at the end of 2018?
And what “snub” are we talking about? The article doesn’t really say. It more comes across that his old man is salty the WT didn’t share his view that his kid is a world beater.

Is he any good Yoss, I don't really recall seeing him play

I don’t remember him tbh. I vaguely remember seeing him in the NRL 9s.

I don’t see how their pathways are any different to other Sydney clubs, including us.

One club? One goal? Certainly makes it much clearer than starting as a Balmain junior, playing for Wests Tigers in your late teens. then playing for Wests Magpies or Ryde Eastwood if your not good enough for first grade but if you are good enough your playing for Wests Tigers in the NRL.
unless you come from the other side where you swap out Balmain for Wests and you go wests, wests tigers, wests, wests or wests Tigers. Clear!

There’s a WT Flegg team. Honestly if you can’t cope with moving from the Balmain SG Ball team to the WT JF team you may not be cut out for NRL football. Rooster run two junior comps and seem to cope. Same with St George/Illawarra.

Nobody is playing State Cup for Ryde Eastwood in our pathway. As much as I’d rather have a WT reserves team, if it’s the basis for you leaving you may have larger problems.

I don't think it's that clear cut TBH. If anything our club has been too willing to hang onto blokes who are constantly injured. Some have turned out good, some have been flops that got paid well despite a very limited career. Benji, Lawrence, Moltzen, Liddle, Blake Lazarus are just a few blokes I can think of that WT have given contracts to despite constant injuries.

Not state cup. But it is still part of our pathways program.
When we have a full strength first grade squad. 10-11 players drop back to reggies. The remaining of the reggies squad is filled with Train and trial and dev players.
If you are too old for Flegg and not on either of the three contracts listed above you will most likely play senior football for Ryde Eastwood or Mapgies in Ron Massey and the tier lower Sydney Shield

How many guys do you reckon make it to first grade after a stint in Ron Massey Cup?

I’m not sure,
The way I read it is the elite juniors go from Wests Tigers Flegg to Wests Tigers First grade.
And the guys that have to do it the harder way go through Ron Massey and NSWCup.
The other problem is we only seem to be recruiting “juniors” through each of our local junior elite teams.

Rabbitohs have many more options set up.

You only need google Rabbitohs Pathways to see for yourself how well structured their program is.

Braith is a manager?
That'll do me.

Article mentions two former Tigers "greats", in Benji and Braith.
Two flops who love having their names in the headlines.

Total nonsense.

There are countless promising/talented youngsters that for whatever reason don’t make the cut in **every** club/system, even after looking like there were ‘big plans’ for them.

Shit, look at everything Nicho Hynes had to go through to get his breakthrough. He put in the work and, surprise surprise, it paid off in spades.

Also, Braith is a wanker.

Not sure why Benji's name was even attached to the article. He has absolutely zero to do with this story.

Grubbyflogs line up this week

6 Benji
7 Ilias

is why

Should go alright against the dragons.
Won't be winning the GF tho, will be lucky to even make it that far.

What an unlikeable team,
With the likes of Walker and Latrell.

Thats right - from what i have read he broke his leg playing rugby union for his private school. We kept him on the books and he had complications with the injury. A decision was made to release him. Don't see what the problem is
