@Golden said:well now he has offically been charged this is NOT good at all
get ready everyone Moltzen is gonna be out 5/8 to start the season
@BornBlack&Gold said:The guy that benji hit obviously got exactly what he wanted out of all this. far from being embarressed about being decked by benji, he managed to bait a player he obviously hates - i doubt skin colour has much to do with it in the end, apart from being a tool this bastard used as a weapon to bait benji into reacting, and now gets to damage his image in the media. now that a charge has been laid, the NRL will likely suspend benji for atleast a week.
Mission accomplished, this fool and his mates will be laughing it up deluxe right now. "Got him!". they will be saying.
it would have been great if benji had managed to walk away without eventually reacting, but i cant blame him for hitting this bloke. its just unfortunate that its what this clown wanted all along and benji played right into his hands.
@Icon said:I don't think so Golden, the NRL judges every incident on it's merit.
The whole story doesn't paint a picture resulting in suspension.
But you never know.
@Moh said:If Lui got no suspension there's no way Benji will.

@LCA said:There seems to be a hell of a lot of assumptions being made on here, all based on media reports. Nobody knows the truth yet about the actions of Benji or the motivations of the guys who supposedly "baited him". But, I don't care. Benji should NOT, in any circumstance, have assaulted (yet to be proved) anyone. He should have walked away and let the law deal with it if he felt compelled to make a complaint of racial vilification. But, (it seems) he didn't. And, if true, his actions are indefensible. I feel a great discomfort with the sentiments of some folk on here who seem to suggest he should be treated differntly because he is one of ours or that what he did was justified by the actions of the morons who chose to verbally abuse him (allegedly). I am angry, disgusted and disappointed by Benji's actions. Of all the pople who have done such wonderful things to promote the decency of rugby league players, Benji had been a stand out. I thought he was someone who "got it". I thought he understood that his behaviour and actions just have to be perfect 100% of the time. But, I was wrong and he didn't "get it". He needs to face the consequences of his stupidity. And, if that invloves the NRL imposing supsensions or the WT standing him down, so be it. He chose that path.
