Benji Marshall

Without him we are gone - he sparks the attack, gets involved in defence, runs the ball - major loss if he does get hurt. Gee he is playing well.

Yeah his attack is something else….genious.

Still throwing some rocks in with the diamonds but that is Benj all over. The bloke will take us a long way this year. If Robbie, Ellis and Lawrence go with him we are a good chance at the title.

we just won a ripper of a game and all of a sudden there is talk about us being nothing without marshall…
cant ya just enjoy the win...

best player in the game … would not swap him for anyone. so over arseclowns ( from other sides ) who know jack about footy bagging benji.

other clubs would take benji in a heartbeat.

he is a once in a generation player and we are lucky to have him

Can anyone believe there are Wood ducks out there that say Cam Smith is the best player in the world ??? Please. Robbie Farah showed last night just how brilliant he is and Smith does not come close to him let alone anywhere near Benji !!

The players on par or better than Benji are,
Jonathon Thurston
Billy Slater
Greg Inglis
Paul Gallen

Thats it.

Benji is the best player in the world…............for about 8 games a season.

For half of the rest he's "very good".

For the other half he's often borderline terrible.

For a great player he still puts in some garbage kicks, shocking passes etc. Johns, Wally, Sterlo etc never had those "WTF" moments like Benji.

However, he is who he is................you take the bad with the absolute magic. We are lucky to have him.

Count me as a wood-duck. I hate the Storm with a passion, and I don't particularly like Cameron Smith, but he would be the top player, consistency and skill wise in the world. He sets up the attack and his defence is excellent. I don't think Robbie is too far behind him, but needs good strong consistent performances.

If you were looking for the best player occasionally, then Marshall is it.

If you were looking for the best inspirational player/leader, it is Lockyer (and geez I hate Qld AND the Broncos)

Best player of all time in my opinion was Andrew Johns. When he was hot, he was white hot in every facet. Attack, defence, leadership, inspiration.

So, unfortunately I am a wood duck.
