Benji needs back up

He will get plenty of rest when grub is good to go

Yeah, but how much more can Reynolds battered body stand,i can't see him lasting another 3 Seasons.

Benji is going Ok but needs Brooks to be more consistent and attract attention away from his(Benji) plays.
Too many poor decisions, and especially grubber kicks, by Brooks in the Newcastle game.

Had a lot this do with our pack being dominated which reduced his time with the ball. Both our playmakers were under pressure for large chunks of that game.

The plan was always to play Benji at 14, but due to Reynolds been injured he has been forced to play 80 every week. So we are seeing Benji starting to dip a little in form. All will be right if Reynolds can actually string some games together

Maybe its time to see Gamble on the bench with game time to see how he goes at 5/8 to back up Benji and look to the balance of the season as to injuries in this key position

1\. Benji is fine
2\. Even if Reynolds was fit Benji starts at 6.
As far as I'm concerned as long as Benji keeps playing as he has, Reynolds plays Reggie's.

The question for me is, is Benji's form better than Reynolds form of the last few years at the Bulldogs? Yes
I think some people think that Reynolds is some sort of step up from Benji and Benji is just keeping his seat warm, I see it the other way as long as Benji continues playing the same as he has been I can't find a spot for Reynolds.

Be I just had a kid…anyone remember that. He has no been playing on adrenaline for the first few rounds but looks tired now. A fit Reynolds gives him a break but also takes the reserve hooker that Cleary likes spot away.

We need Liddle to play 80, Reynolds on the bench and someone else to defend I. The middle when Reynolds and Marshall are on.

Good challenges for Cleary though

Mostly, we need packer back and a signing before June 30 - a centre would be nice

Brooks is running the show, so Benji shouldn't feel he's under pressure to carry the team at first reciever for 80 minutes. We've got other playmaker options in Elijiah Taylor and Jacob Liddle to take some slack as well.

We don't need a half on the bench. We've already got a bench hooker and a utility, leaving only two big guys. The bench is there primarily to rotate the middle forwards.

Good coach has to figure this out, IS brooks running the show now what i see is a confused combination of Both with Benji now starting and continuing to play off the cuff in his own mind and other in the team have no idea what he is doing. This is a coaching issue and i hope Ivan solves it before the warriors as i need another 2 points on the ladder before i over stress to much

This issue is not going away Ivan has to make a decision on Benji before the Cowboys, Give Gamble a go, surely we cant do worse then what is being dished out now

This is crazy.
The issue is not our halves. We lose both Newcastle and Warriors game almost regardless of the halves.

The stats coming out of our pack are horrible.

Reynolds is not at the level that Benji is currently playing at even though his last couple of games have been average. I'm not stating Benji has been poor either. He has just been average.

Also the kick he made last night and the kicks he made last week were probably part of the coaches game plan. The one last night was clearly a set play. The whole team were ready for it.

The whole warriors side were ready for it. He has been poor of late Earl, and he knows it, but thinks he needs to do more, when he should be assisting and picking his moments.

On a side note, let's raise a glass to Woods and Moses getting done again, with the look of Mitchell when he missed the chance to even things up, priceless.

Suggestion.

If Liddle is unfit this week use Taylor at hooker for whole match.

Pita is dropped for Gamble to come off the bench to replace Marshall.

Some players when given a chance at NRL shine and hopefully Gamble is one of them.

He really needs to be dropped to the bench this week. Just to give him the wake up call he needs. His ego is out of control and the bad old benji is back. Kicking on the first, crabbing across the field, trying miracle plays, failing to find touch, poor kickoffs, bad defence.

We don't have a squad strong enough to cover for someone consistently making this many mistakes.

Whether it's Godinet or Gamble i think this needs to happen. Benji can still come on and play 60 mins if needed with whomever starts at 5/8 going to hooker.

Reynolds comes in when he's fit too.

I'm not sure the last sentence is correct. There were two chasers. Rocho and Grant!

His kicking (aside from the bombs he has used lately) has always been poor but every now and then one comes off which covers all the bad ones.

McCarry you don't think that what the halves do doesn't effect the forwards- (7 tackle outcomes from kicks, not producing in goal restarts, silly options on early tackles, brain snap passes. The forwards carry the load from these decisions especially when they are understrength and lose players during the game.
