If we were to lose every game the 'kids' look to someone else (they already do now with Barba).
Realistically there should be no reason why any club can't accommodate at least two big name players like Farah and Marshall , and a few more , what with the cap rising and concessions we should get for their long service.

We are talking , theoretically , of choosing to keep one player over another because children aspire to play like him.
Kids are already choosing one CLUB over the others .
Ben Barba is now king of the kids.
Marshalls reign is over.

Im thinking the correct answer is release Marshall.Look at the young stars we have coming thru in the halves.I think Sirro will make a great 5/8 before he moves to lock in a few years.

Release Marshall because we've got better options in the halves [than at hooker if Farah left], and because he's more likely to go play union overseas where we don't have to watch in smashing it in another NRL club's jersey

Honestly you wouldn't ever have to worry about that, how do Melbourne accommodate two/three rep players in Smith, Slater and Cronk?
And we would let off other players before we had that issue IMO.

That's a really tough question.
Honestly, the game has changed since Benji burst onto the scene and now every second kid throws a flick-pass. There's no lack of talented halves. Robbie, on the other hand, is irreplaceable at hooker. His ability to be a playmaker is in a class of its own.

Marshall…... yeah Marshall.

In terms of our team structure, Robbie holds it together. It becamse none too clear last year when we had no Farah for the last couple of games, and our team couldnt get points on the board.

Look at the games VS Souths, the Roosters and the Storm. Our boys were at times aimless (particualrly in the 2nd souths game in 2012)

ALso I feel MUCH more confident with a halves paring of Sironen/Miller if Marshall gets injured.

Farah is the heart and soul of our side. Needs to be resigned asap

Hooker in today's game is one of the most important positions on the filed. Look at the way Farah and Cam Smith dominate the games from dummy half with their kicking games and controlling the ruck.

A great spine does not include 5/8\. It full back, half back and hooker.

Marshall is replaceable and see him chasing Japanese union money at end of career. great player and Tigers legend but if push came to shove see you later Marshall.
