Benji

He is and always will be a club legend and I love the bloke but his defensive lapses are one part of the problem. You only have to look at the last 2 games our outside backs are getting quality ball and the results in attack are a result of that . He has served the game and club with distinction at the highest level and will leave me with the fondest memories of the game.

If either Luke or Josh cop an injury, Benji is straight back in, we don't have the depth, unless Madge wants to give Madden a run.

Walters at 6 is worth a shot, I mean he is a half after all, and his dad was a pretty good one too

He is not his dad though.

What do you mean, Kevvie Walters is not Billy's dad

No, lol but I can see how my post came across that way. What I meant is there is no point raising how good his dad was because Billy is his own person and is not his dad.

Cochise, How can you be sure about that? I’d have Walters in place of Benji. You can see by the way he plays he has the DNA!

Can we take a moment to appreciate that a player from the Wests Tigers has been dropped and they know EXACTLY why they were dropped, and how they can work their way back into the team. Not just "defence isn't good enough",
- Benji has clearly been shown examples of his issues and has been provided solutions to addressing them.
- He was told the situations that need to occur for him to regain his spot (other players need to lose form, or a change in the interchange structure).

I have no doubt Benji will be back at some point and he will be better for the experience.

I have the ultimate respect for Benji and would love to have seen him under Madge 5 years ago.

The reality is that we have to prepare for life after him in the future.

I feel he has a part to play on 2020 and even 2021

I like this. Madge is tough but he’s fair, every player talks about how honest he is and this is what they mean. Would much rather him do this than sugar coat everything
