We're not making the 8 next year. It just won't happen. The only good thing will be the spine and some emerging rookies. We are still building identity and culture. We need to offload stefano and sign a consistent and rising prop. We also need a new centre who would specialise in defence. Doesn't have to be someone great, a Nick Meaney type player would do as the left edge with Olam, Turuva, Sam Fainu would be the go to side.

This is my backline.

1. Bula
2. Turuva (left wing because he defends better there and I think him and Olam would be good together)
3. Olam
4. *New centre
5. Staines
6. Galvin/Fainu
7. Luai

AD is not a regular NRL centre. We can't play him there. Unfortunately his only value will come in the halves, or at lock potentially but I doubt it

He's only 24 a year younger than Haas. He has the skill and it’s only a matter of time and experience. He has belief in his own ability and potential. Has leadership skills and shows that in the way he has helped bring on Pole. He’s an asset to any team. If he had stayed at Eels, I reckon he’d be playing big minutes, but not to be due to the way they didnt look after his brother.
The game continues to roll forward with guys like Stef, big mobile strong athletic and skillfull. I think he will hit a purple patch in 2026 for about 6 years.
 
We need better centres than AD and Olam. Both have injury issues and have an inability to push off both legs or change direction quickly when defending.

Are we talking about the same guy?
Stefano? The big bludger who only has a go for very short spells every month or so? The pillow who gets bested by every prop he comes up against? The guy with zero consistency? The guy with poor defensive efforts close to the line?
Surely we are talking about different people?

I don’t doubt that’s what you see. I see a bit of that in him too.
Could that be the effect of the club/coaches? An indication he’s leaving?
