We harp on about Doueihi strengthening the backline but he was diabolical against the Sharks. A turnstile in defence. he wouldn't rank very highly on a list of best NRL centres.

That may be too late to stop the club going into second division. As stated before on another thread West Tigers can't Sack Benji just yet but if we start the 25 season in the same fashion, they will put the trigger.
Where are you getting this confidence in the Ute from? There is no way Nelson is a better prop than Stefano. Has Nelson even made a line break this year? Stefano is gradually moving towards the leading prop in the game. He‘s big powerful and fast, probably faster than any prop in the game. Nelson wouldn’t even have half the tackle breaks of Stefano. He and Haas will be the best 2 props by end of 25.
We're not making the 8 next year. It just won't happen. The only good thing will be the spine and some emerging rookies. We are still building identity and culture. We need to offload stefano and sign a consistent and rising prop. We also need a new centre who would specialise in defence. Doesn't have to be someone great, a Nick Meaney type player would do as the left edge with Olam, Turuva, Sam Fainu would be the go to side.100% I do. Remember what Joey did to the knights in the early 2000's? They'd lose games by 40 without him then when he played, they could beat anyone. Luai is our Joey, but he has Galvin to step up next to him. Its mouth watering.
Our backline is pretty much set and looks REALLY good.
1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. Douhei
4. Olam
5. TBC
6. Galvin
7. Luai
We need to sign a forward or two.
8. Stef/Nelson
9. Api
10. Pole
11. Bateman (this will be his last season, but he has another good one left in him)
12. Samuela Fainu
13. TBC
In the event Stef stays and we sign Nelson, Stef at 8, Nelson at 10 and Pole at 13.
AD is not a regular NRL centre. We can't play him there. Unfortunately his only value will come in the halves, or at lock potentially but I doubt itWe harp on about Doueihi strengthening the backline but he was diabolical against the Sharks. He's only 24 a year younger than Haas. He has the skill and it’s only a matter of time and experience. He has belief in his own ability and potential. Has leadership skills and shows that in the way he has helped bring on Pole. He’s an asset to any team. If he had stayed at Eels, I reckon he’d be playing big minutes, but not to be due to the way they didnt look after his brother.Where are you getting this confidence in the Ute from?
If he cracks the top 10 next year he will have done well.
I'd be happy to put a virtual 50 on it with you 🙂We're not making the 8 next year. It just won't happen. The only good thing will be the spine and some emerging rookies. This is my backline.
1. Bula
2. Turuva (left wing because he defends better there and I think him and Olam would be good together)
3. Olam
4. *New centre
5. Staines
6. Galvin/Fainu
7. Luai
Are we talking about the same guy? He's only 24 a year younger than Haas. He has the skill and it’s only a matter of time and experience. He has belief in his own ability and potential. The game continues to roll forward with guys like Stef, big mobile strong athletic and skillfull. I think he will hit a purple patch in 2026 for about 6 years.

I don’t doubt that’s what you see. I see a bit of that in him too.Are we talking about the same guy?
Stefano? The big bludger who only has a go for very short spells every month or so? The pillow who gets bested by every prop he comes up against? The guy with zero consistency? The guy with poor defensive efforts close to the line?
Surely we are talking about different people?
No need to ask where the contents went.😜Ive got a few thousand home brew bottles of air im selling. Interested?
