Benji's history of crucial errors

I know there are a lot more examples where Benji's brain explosions cost us the game but this is what I can remember off the top of my head.

2010 Tigers vs St George (GF qualifier)

Leading 12-6 at halftime, we had numerous chances to close off the game late in the second half in order to get a lead of 13-6\. Even when St George made it 12-12, again we had many chances to set up for a field goal and gain a 1 point lead but Benji kept going wide and throwing the ball around. We missed all of our chances. Soward took the opportunity the first time they got down in our end of the half and buried it. We lost and got knocked out of the finals 13-12.

2011 Tigers vs Warriors (GF qualifier)
We led the entire game and with 90 seconds left on the clock, what was Benji thinking when he got caught with the ball on the last tackle giving the warriors a chance to have one final crack at us. Yes, Robbie put him under pressure from dummy half but why couldn't he simply kick the ball (just like Ellis did yesterday against Souths when he ended up with the ball on the last under pressure) The warriors scored of that next set and we got knocked out of the finals again due to Benji's lack of being able to finish off a game.

I think EVERYBODY in the crowd was hoping for a field goal with 7 minutes left on the clock and a full set of six up our sleave. We could have hit the ball up once or twice and went for a field goal or even attempted to get a repeat set…But no! Benji's brain went AWOL again and he crabs across the field and put Ryan in an awkward position and we got bundled into touch....THAT was the turning point.

I don't want Anasta at the club but I think we could use his brains because clearly we have a history of not being able to close out games. SURELY, Sheens would have discussed this with Benji by now. There will be some of you that would be saying "leave him alone, he sets up tries etc"....Well that's what he's paid to do. He HAS to set up tries but theres no point in setting up those tries if you're going to throw the game away later. Its a simple adjustment he has to make but he keeps stuffing it up. If we had a Lockyer, Thurston, Cronk or even Anasta on those situations, we would have won each game.
Benji Marshall is a great player when he gets it right....but BOY!!! He can get things sooooo wrong sooooo often! Play smarter! For God's sake, PLAY SMARTER!
