Surprised no magpies stalwarts have not mentioned John Elford -far better forward than some of the plodders people have selected

never heard of him....which era did he play?

Jack
Lawrence
Hanley
Brasher
Corowa
Marshall
Prince
Roach
Farah
Donelly
Ellis
Lindner
Pearce

Boyd
Dwyer
Langmack
Tiquiri

No love for Sirro?

Oops! My bad. Actually, there are a couple of changes I would make to my team.
Jack
Corowa
Brasher
Hanley
Tiquiri (as a right side winger. Both Lawrence and Corowa played L.H.S)
Marshall
Prince
Roach
Farah
Donnelly (Although Beetson was the best prop I have seen play, he didn't get anywhere near his best until he was at the Rorters)
Sirro
Ellis
Pearce

Boyd
McGuire (as the second bench prop)
Lindner
Knight (Dual international, an enormous body who could play wing, centre and second row). Ideal bench player

thats A CRACKER OF A TEAM

I can’t split Tommy Raudonikus and Gary Freeman? We don’t see 7’s like them these days, I guess because the forwards are much bigger lol

No comparison in my eyes. Tommy all the way, what a legend.

The whiz every day of the week.

Jack at fullback. His defence is far superior to Tedesco.

Geoff Starling the first centre picked. Hanley, Knight and Peter Diamond up from Wollongong as his centre partner.

Corowa one wing, Tuiaki or Ribot as his wing partner. Addo Carr another option

Marshall the. 5/8..

The whiz Freeman, that scheming clever half, who is always darting and niggling.

Great attacking backline you have there, strength speed and guile

100% agree on that and I would add Bob Cooper into the mix as well , absolute monster of a man, played for NSW. Jim Coman's haltered his career with a 15 month suspension for knocking out 3 Steelers in Wollongong. Should have got a medal not a suspension,

Freeman was a better 7 than Prince

Don't you guys remember Scotty Gayle...he was pretty good..he has passed away in the last few years from an illness but was a good player in the day..Mick Neil was handy as well...

he was a great player Scotty Gale....poor bugger had a dud hand dealt to him though. RIP

He was a slightly better than average player....wouldn't make the 3rd XIII of best all time players

Opinion noted....I personally thought he was great and have awesome memories of him playing when I was a kid......

I was so upset when Freeman left us......such a typical, niggling half

Garry Jack .....seriously he would behind Tedesco and Hodgson imo

Scott Gale scored some memorable tries. There are players whose inclusion in the team gives you confidence of a win and likewise exclusion removes that confidence. Scott Gale was such a player. I remember a 50mt centre field, through the middle of the Brisbane defence, try at Leichhardt. The roar of the crowd was deafening.

You can blame the man who got arrested in a toilet block for that,he wanted to buy a rah rah nuffie who could kick to replace him.Another reason he became the first coach i despised

If Tedesco was still here, he’d be in 100% of teams

Not mine Jack was a better allround fullback imo

Jack is in a class above both. Slater was the best I've seen.

Yep I enjoyed watching the whiz. Very sorry he left us.

Also think a certain halfback would at least be in the conversation, had he not been a despised coach 😂
