Best choice of coach from ones in talking

It's too late in the process to sack Sheens. He's bringing players in, letting players go- his plans are already in motion for next season.

If you want to remove Sheens, let him know he's done earlier.

I'm not convinced Sheens is a 'bad coach'. I think the players have gotten stale. I think the injection of a few guys from the 20's will spark Sheen's ego into action, he'll want to prove he can develop the next batch of young players.

His offsider is a problem. Simmons, Georgiallis- neither have been much of a hard-nosed option to Sheens. Folkes had some backbone to him. Not sure if he's the right guy to work WITH Sheens though. I'd be interested in what Trvor Gillmeister is up to- know he's been at the Titans, also coached the Ipswich Jets with Kev Walters up here. As Sheen's #2, Gilly might be just the type to be not intimidated by Sheens, while still being a 'nobody' and therefore not a threat to Sheens as well.

There is some mid arvo chatter about Matt Parish

as we know he is currently Geoff Toovey assisstant at manly, and was Ricky Stuart assistant for the blues.
why not give him a go.
wests-tigers would benefit very well from him.

…. left field

Justin Morgan (not based on any rumours, just think he's worth considering)

I forgot all about him. Top record at improving clubs. I'd take him or Potter.

We've got the potential in the squad, need a coach who can give them a bit more spark. The WHOLE team not just the select few who give it all. I personally cant stand Daniel Anderson, so he would be my last choice.

I'd keep Sheens, however if we do change Brown and Potter would be fine by me, id be reluctant to go with Parish given his lack of head coach experience

what about the newcastle assistant under bennett , im not sure if any good or folks and let him make up the the whole coaching staff , etc we need solid hard nose aproach from now on , no more boys club , hard fitt footy players

Rick Stone, I reckon he'd do a great job

Moneys not that much of an issue in this case..coaching an NRL club especially the Tigers one of the biggest in the Sydney basin is a very very sought after position.Yes money comes into it but IMO most will chase the job…we shouldn't underestimate the gig that is being offered that is if it's being offered !

Nathan Brown being young and all could add some real spark into the club… would have to also be tough to put the club on track though.

Throw the cheque book at Bellamy. We need to harden the F up in the middle. Think of the s&*t Storm that blew through Melbourne and he's kept them fully focussed. Plus he's got a proven track record at turning kids into genuine first graders, can you imagine what he could do with Toddy's U20's in a few years. I know he's still under contract with Storm but we've got to take a seriously long term view about this.

Bellamy could do great things with our club! but i imagine he'd be pretty attached to Melbourne. Should have signed Hasler when we had the chance at the end on last year, when he left Manly.
