Best Coach Ever.

This is Cameron Ciraldo’s first season as an NRL head coach, but Josh Addo-Carr has already declared he’s “going to be one of the best to ever do it.”

Josh Reynolds has played 160 NRL games and four State of Origin clashes. He’s been coached by the likes of Des Hasler and Ivan Cleary but “has never been taught things defensively” like he has under Ciraldo.

That’s how big of an impact the 38-year-old has had on the Bulldogs in just four short months. www.

I guess my question is. How is this juxtaposed with/alongside Marshall & Farah.

Is there a fine line? And do you believe there will be repercussions in his rejection of us. As a novice - and uneducated in the daily going ons - Bellamy comes to mind. Who was Bellamy before he was Bellamy?
Yep

After seeing Reynolds play for us, I can confirm he was never taught these things defensively!

Big statement to make before a game has been played.

My view is we will get a gauge on Benji and Ciraldo end of year but need a good 3yrs to see if they can muster it.

And yeah sure Sheens is technically coach this year but Benji 100% will be very heavily involved without any result/media pressure of a coach this and next season. I expect he will be calling most the shots from the coaches box this year.

It's awesome to see all these old forum members (registering circa 2009) coming out of the woodwork. I wonder if having a good roster has anything to do with it 🤣

On a side note, is 2009 the year this forum was established?
I think people are starting to cotton on to the fact that social media is a garbage way to discuss the game.

Ciraldo has had a number of years as an assistant, which is experience. Benji is inexperienced. Ciraldo has so many years on him. Of course he will be more prepared. We don't know what Benji will be like yet.

My question is,if Benji and Ciraldo do ok in their first full year as head coach, why cant Toovey,Flanagan or Hasler keep their jobs as head coaches with more years of experience or does it come down to personalities rather than football knowledge....???

Craig Bellamy is the most consistent coach in the NRL.

Turns rejected players into stars and wins.
I agree, his record speaks for itself with Storm, but is it the Storm who made Bellamy?
His attempt outside with the Blues wasn’t spectacular?
I don’t rate him as high as other coaches because he hasn’t successfully plied his trade elsewhere.
And now, when he goes to the well and finds a larger thirsty crowd, he’s calling time.
I think Ciraldo is a huge loss to Panthers. He obviously bonded strongly with Panthers players, particularly in the absence of Cleary’s illness.
Let’s talk about this in 2 or 3 seasons?
