Best Laugh in years

Thank you forum you have given me the best laugh. Last nights game was disappointing and I'm sure there is some hard work to be done and I can be positive that a lot of players will be "having a hard look at themselves" but wow the reaction on here has been hilarious. I stayed off here last night as I could not bare to listen to the usual predicable knee jerkers.

However even those clowns have out done themselves. Christ how I would love to live in your perfect little worlds where the sun shines all day and life is just rosey and without disappointment. I'm currently standing at the station and my train is delayed, should I go on a blog and complain, or should i wait for the next one.

It's game one, yes we were [This word has been automatically removed]ing awful and it feels crap. Get over it, say unlucky boys better luck next time.

However having said all that, Please feel free to carry on ranting as it makes the journey to work a lot more fun and you make the Telegraph read like the Gettysburg address.

Yep, that's all it was, unlucky.

:crazy

Didn't say it was unlucky its what you say to a person or team to build confidence. It's called good man management or even, kind.

I'm not surprised this is missed by many on here.

It is a continuation of the same crap from a few players, they had all the reinforcement in the world last season and it didn't help.

i am confident Potter will weild the axe where required and try and build the team up in the process.

As a fan I am not obliged to do that, I can vent and rant as it helps me

Yet this is probably what has been said to these players for the last few years. It's why they trot out the same shit performances every week.

The time for good man management towards some of these players is long over.

Here we go again "Its only Round 1,Things will get better,we were unlucky ,the players need to have a hard look at themselves :blah "

The Knights aren't even considered heavyweights of the competition , and barring the Parra trial and Parra win last season most of our performances have been similiar

People need to realize ,this could quite possibly be the norm for 2013 , not every once and again

Apart from Tedesco ,Pettybourne and possibly Bodene Thompson , who is markedly better than the guys we picked for Round 1

On last nights performance we and the Dragons,Warriors would be the favourites for the wooden spoon in 2013

Biggest issue in my opinion was not starting with our strongest ,biggest and most experienced forward pack

You need to set a platform for your team from the 1st minute , not try and rip the momentum after 20 minutes from a bigger ,fitter and more agile team .

I'm not saying the result wouldn't have been different , but at least you give yourself the best chance possible from the start

Look at the end of the day it was funny but we are seriosly going to be in termoil this season. Potter has inherited a defuncted squad from Sheens and by seasons end there will be dead wood to be dispursed and there might also be some big names on that list.

I am not confident at all… it looks like Potter wants to keep everyone happy by the team he selected last night...he won't make changes.

I can hear it now... "I want to give the players a chance to redeem themselves it was only the first game"

Well he had no problems in not playing Pettybourne , so he will make the hard decisions if required…

Agreed. Hooking Utai also showed me that Potter will make players accountable for rubbish performances.
Im expecting Potter to make changes for round 2, though probably not as many as most on hear would like but it will be a start.

With the game plan that the Panthers will come with , we can't have blokes who aren't prepared to put themselves on the line under the high ball

In regard to the OP, after the usual spiel we cop every season about how it's been the hardest ever off season, training the house down etc to watch a 42 point capitulation will no doubt leave a sour taste in the mouths of most. Most players looked as though they had no idea.

Everyone is upset with the performance and that's okay. What is important now is accountability and whether Potter has the balls to get a few noses out of joint and sack a few poor performing incumbents in the interest of an improved overall team performance.

That is how Potter will be measured by me this year, as he has had next to no input on the squad, how he gets the best out of them is what is important.

HAhaha now that is funny!!!!!

Maybe they should all sit in a circle at Concord, cross legged, hold hands and cry…just have a good cleansing cry. Let each other know that they are feeling bad and what they hope can happen to mend their broken psychies. Maybe they can put a rinse through each others hair and then take the arvo off to fly kites whilst listening to Justin Bieber.....

You metros make me sick.

Although I agree in principle, to be fair, when we changed props, it was still 6-4 (or maybe they had just gone ahead)
Same with the last 20, we won that period 4-2…...

When we had out starting props (including the green horn Buchannan) we had the better of it.

Despite liking both players, thought BMM and Bell were dispointing of the bench last night.

Anasta was also poor.

The scoreline momentum may have not changed , but the games momentum had

With our side Bell needs to be a starter ,has experience , does the little things right ,good defensively and hits it up with gusto

Bring the Anasta's,BMM's,Pettybourne's and Thompson's off the bench for impact

As I said if you can't set a platform or even keep the game at a even keel , it doesn't matter who is on the bench

"Unlucky boys better luck next time" is what you say to young juniors but these are mature adult highly paid professionals.
