Should Fulton be in the run on side or on the bench? A matter of opinion. However, as far as his defence is concerned he is the best tackler in the club by far. He has been the best for about 10 years or more.

There are arguments for and against Fulton and personally I believe he plays his best when coming off the bench when the big guys have started to tire. His tackles are much more effective and his speed makes up for his lack of strength and power.
He is one of those guys who is too slow for the centres and too small as a modern day backrower but makes up for it with heart. I would keep a bench spot for him if form warrants it.

I am very surpised that no-one has included Keith Lulia in their team, even though many have mentioned defensive concerns in the outside backs. I believe Keith will be there as his defence is good and his attack is underrated.

I just dont see both Nofo and Simona both making the run on side. They both performed well last year, but that was out of necessity. Neither deserves to be dropped, but we need more experience and defence in the backline. I hope Keith is named in the squad for this weekend and I hope he kills it.

PS: Still chuckling about Patterson being small!

He's over 6'4 and over comfortably over 100kgs What's your idea of big?
any more weight would take away from his speed and ability under the high ball.

He's not a battering ram style forward.

What don't you think that Farah works hard enough in defence With that starting line up he'll need to make 70 tackles a week

You give it to Simona defensively , but I can't seriously remember a missed tackle that's stands out that cost us points in 2013

Yet I think about his centre partner and its at least one a game

Of course the Giraffe will help Robbie with the defence

Can you see Taupau making 30 + tackles a game

Mate just get it other with ,go to Africa and bag yourself a Giraffe and leave Liam Fulton alone

That is what i am trying to say You can't have 3 people in the same 17 that all have the same attributes Offloading,Speedy Ect ect we need a Andrew Fifita/Sam Burgess kind of player That's the point i am trying to make.

Have to agree with Tigersman here , that is what we are lacking that penetration fear factor of a Fafita or a Burgess in our side , we are missing that mongrel that is needed .
That's why I feel we need to make a play for Fafita or try anyway
