Best post match I’ve seen from Michael Maguire

That presser was amazing. It's good to see a bloke who is as frustrated and as angry about what is happening on the field as we all are. Twal and Matterson are the only 2 I'd feed at the moment. The rest are absolute mud. Grab yourself a big broom Madge.

He can bag all he likes, but he needs to come up with the answers. This is basically the squad he has for the next 2 years with little wriggle room in terms of roster spots and funds becoming available.

I agree. He can be as frustrated as he likes, but it's his job to get performances out of his players. The fact that they drift in and out of games/weeks reflects as much on the coach as the players.

We can all agree it's not a top-tier roster, but I made the point earlier that this same roster won 12 games last year with the guy who became a very maligned coach. Fast forwad 12 months and Tigers will almost certainly not make 12 wins this year, whilst Panthers likely will.

I'm not anti-Madge because he just started, had to cop a cap penalty that had nothing to do with him, and has had minimal capacity yet to shape his roster. He does seem to punish bad performances. Maybe he'll blood a whole number of new players in the coming weeks, then we can all see what a bad strategy it is to chuck kids into first grade, despite what some fans clamour for after a run of losses.

I just find it funny that so many people reacted positively to seeing the coach finally crack a hissy fit in public. Doesn't change the result one iota and frankly there have been a half dozen or more games where that response from Madge would also have been appropriate.

I hope they do some player interviews this week and get them speaking honestly about their performances and the role they have played in their season as Madge has tonight.

You're kidding mate. Robbie's 300th will be top of the list for our media team. And it will appease a large portion of the supporter base.

@gallagher yeah good call. Anything to avoid facing a hard truth. Still Robbie deserves the accolades. Then it’s back to business.

That he does, it's a great personal achievement.

As it should be we have two players in the clubs history achieve it and it forms part of Wests Tigers brief history. TBH Farah has won us a few games earlier this year but his back injury spells the end very soon. I’d give him the week off and then give him get the 300 at Leichhardt as a gesture. If we are in contention still and Madge wants experience he may go with Farahbut Liddle is the best option we are better with him on the field than with Farah. He is struggling badly for the past 6 weeks.

@TYGA I understand people saying that Robbie is past it, and his reaching his 300th game is not a priority. i have probably said that myself. But I'm thinking now that as this year is a lost cause, and forget the premiership or even making the finals, so we may as well engage in a PR act of giving Robbie his 300th.It will harbour good will for some of our fans.

Why don't we make him our wattle boy for next year? Qld use Alfie Langer, still to this day, and these guys organise the team while they are on, so Robbie may be good for that role. We're paying him already anyway.

@Fraze23 he’s got the bloody leaf blower out !!! I am frigginnn ecstatic , should be a wild and windy off-season; assuming we continue sliding down the ladder to finish the year.

@Snake out of genuine curiosity, who in the league do you respect or like? Ideally, who should we be aiming to emulate?

@Snake to a certain degree he must fall on his sword, he keeps picking out of form players, keeps picking kickers that miss goals even though they continue to miss, he must make some changes for his own sake and take his own accountability for his team as he talks but the players more so
