He can bag all he likes, but he needs to come up with the answers. This is basically the squad he has for the next 2 years with little wriggle room in terms of roster spots and funds becoming available.

The players need to find the answers ...you are either NRL first graders or NSW/Qld Cup bound

Why wait, if he is true to his word, it will happen this Tuesday, and if he is fair dinkum Farah will be one of them, Benji will be lucky if he isn’t one as well. Eiso, Rowdy, Momirovski will be lucky to escape as well, MCK is no starting centre either

Here I am! Look I’m not anti Madge, but I don’t understand the love he gets around here. He may take us to a premiership and if so I’ll gladly eat humble pie, but I haven’t seen anything so far to get my juices flowing.

He gets the love because of his track record and he's literally the only option we have. The same love was given to Cleary.

Glad that he included himself after castigating his players, as he is the one responsible for getting them up for each game and maintaining the output over the 80 minutes.

Clarke started a few weeks back when Aloiai fell ill and at least reasonably filled the role that we have been missing since Mats has been out. Yet we are yet to see the guy again when it has been bleeding obvious that tangy mayo and Twal are not getting the job done as a pair.

To see Farah still on the field in the shadow of the break when we lost a pair to HIA's was similarly puzzling, given that it too has stood out like a sore thumb for weeks on end as well. Hell, it took Maguire half way through winter to drop Jennings, so maybe he will keep this front row rotation for a few more unsuccessful rounds yet until the penny drops.

Really liked the comments by Maguire. I haven't seen a Tigers coach give a press conference like that before. Usual crap about better second half effort and tough opposition and just need to put it together for 80 minutes etc is out the window. Really pleased and at the same time he didn't throw the players under the bus, and didn't sound whinny just stated plain facts. Many tigers coaches of the past would talk about how they were pleased with the effort, the conditions made it hard etc and would even walk away contented with the scoreline against Canberra. Glad to see Maguire expects more. We don't have the best team in the league but we're able to play competitive footy with the very best teams only to give up games and make stupid mistakes. It's not an aberration, it's the way we've played since 2001 and it needs to improve and we need to be more consistent. At least we can say the approach to press conferences is different.
