Best thing that could have happened...

We are still equal second. We can worry about for and against in round 26...

I admire your optimism. Now let's go out there and smash those Panthers on Sunday 😛ray:

Best thing that could have happened from that dreadful game IMO is sheens giving Latu ago. I see some good potential in this bloke.

It's already working. I really believe we are going to come out firing against the Panthers and really play with a lot of passion for the first time this year…

Twitter updates:
Lote Tuqiri: Absolutely gutted!!
Keith Galloway: the worst feeling ive had in a long long time
Robbie Farah: Wants to go jump off the gap

What about the rest of us in the Tiger Nation.

I was to depressed to play my 360.

I hope they feel do bad and as for this week on Channel 9

Problem is that they've talked the talk on a number of occasions this year and not backed it up on the field. They crapped on about how much losing 10-50 hurt them then they fall apart when they are 28-12 up. The team just clocks off all the time. It's okay to muscle up when it gets back to 30-30 but if they had have been that enthusiastic at 28-12 they wouldn't have been in that position.

One 80 minute performance win, lose, or draw would do me.

The frustration and anger of losing this game just might bring the best out of the Tigers. We have four games remaining, can we do the same as we did when we lost 50-10 against the Rabbits? I have every faith we can.

Agreed. Not sure why everyone is blowing up. We have improved to the tune of 36 points since round 10.

Gary i think you are almost right there…and we have won 12 games with still a chance of improving from last season by winning one more. Ah just remember the old days when it used to take us 3 seasons to win 12 games. we've become too blinded by success. nothing compares to a 23 - 20 victory over Manly in 87 on the dust bowl (Manly went on to win the comp but we had our day), or Lee Crooks punching a field goal from 50 out against the Dragoons in 86 (they went on to make the GF but we gave it to them all the way up to Lidcombe station, or flogging the Eels in 81,82 and 83 at Liddy (we had the wood on Sterling, Grothe, Kenny - to this day Sterling still despises Wests). the days when we were the underdog.

Thanks Ed, you are right. We have been blinded by our success.

Just one thing, Lee Crooks kicked a penalty goal from 50m in 1985, not a field goal. A 50m field goal by a prop would still be remembered by all today.

So true. I wasn't able to watch or listen to the game, I had the rely on sms from my daughter and that was bad enough! The sad thing is I don't have to watch a reply because I have seen it all before…

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

The reason that I didnt believe them on the night came from my experiences in the game. I have played footy for a long time and not once in that time would i be as ingenuine as these guys were after the game. The last thing that I would do after losing a match like that would be to rush into the sheds and post some ridiculous statement on twitter.

The only cure for a loss like that for me would be to hole up, drown my sorrows, keep out of the media and train my backside off, for the coming week.

This team is half full of media whores. I really dont want to see or hear any Wests Tigers players until next Sunday when I'll make the trip to Sydney and see them tackle Penrith.
