Big Georgie or Feleti Mateo?

Georgie leaving and Mateo on the outer. Should we make an offer to one? Would either be handy in the team, provided we lock up all the players we want to keep first. I think mateo would be a great pick-up depending on price and attitude.
 
Don't need either. Our forward pack is looking mighty strong at the moment when you consider BMM, Paterson, Brown and Buchanan are running around in reggies.

don't forget Sirro and Dene, but you know what adding Mateo to our pack would really give them that add x- factor, I for one would like to see him in a tigers jumper.

Apparently Inu is looking to be more and more likely to be wearing a tigers jersey soon so that problem will hopefully be solved. Mateo always seems to carve us and with woods, blair and mateo hitting the line and offloading, that would be something special. Maybe we could offload a prop/2nd row to get Georgie. We struggle with membership/sponsorship as it is and big Georgie is a cult figure…...
 
Prefer to develop what we have at the moment and retain the likes of Tedesco, Nofoaluma, Sirro, Koroibete etc.

We are carving a nice with players like Gavet, Taupau, Sue, Richards and his Spiraling kicks in terms of having our own cult figures.

We don't need a bloke who I look physically more fit than, who has rubbished the Tigers brand in the past.

Meteo on the Other hand, I've always rated. Offload machine. And with Teddy/Rowe/Blair/Fulton all looking to chime in with 2nd phase play he'd only be an asset - however he'd command a little bit of coin.

You want to get rid of players like Lawrence saying he is washed up but then talk about these rejects from other clubs.

I dont know why you cant get excited about the team we have.

Its a really good one.
 
Glenn Stewart would be better than both of them. No point in debating the merits though, cos it doesn't matter what we think

Rose has lost alot of weight and bellyache got him in some good shape but still wont give u more than 30mins.
Mateo is just fat and needs slimming but could be great.

I reckon you guys have some of the best forwards coming thru the game and id love to see u guys stick with it.
Taupau…..worth his weight in gold.

Im a storm man but have a massive soft spot for tigers as the missus family goes for the tigers......all of them!

It's an awesome team and i'm happy as, but i'm greedy as well :slight_smile:
I said I wanted to Rowdy to play state cup to get his confidence back not trade him. I feel mateo would be an asset to the team, I just don't know where we would put him atm, that's all.

I agree with you and others on this thread, I think we have some of the best forwards coming through and would rather stick with securing them than wasting money on inconsistent players like Rose and Mateo. We've had our fill of buying inconsistent players over the past few years - time to move forward.
 
Not too sure what Mateo could offer us that we don't already have with Fulton and Siro [when fit]… He has always had big wraps on him, so I'd suggest he has plenty of talent. _Probably pass on him now we seem to be building into something.

Believe we might be in the running for Georgie

The same KFC that was feeding Andrew Fifita has finally traded itself out of debt and is prepared to offer a TPA for George
 
Mateo,Rose & particularly Inu have been given opprtunities by numerous clubs & havent been able to cement a regular first grade slot,,,alll for good reasons.Not all their previous & current coaches got it wrong.
Much rather invest in home grown talent with upside potential,and/or buy established first graders to plug weak points(like five eighth/centre)
