Big Improvers - 2010

Galloway was enormous through the Finals series…

Benji in his own words..."I tried to cut out the fancy stuff, be more selective ..Well Look it's the way I play got me to where I am today".,...to me the eradication of the dumb error for the most part at the backend of the season and a lot more maturity from Marshall was encouraging..

Lortay..7 years out of RL...plays every game...that try against the Raiders was awesome..

Dwyer, Fifita and Murdoch will all be better for the experience

Geoff Daniella definitely exceeded my expectation. Watching him play at Penrith last year, I didn't think he was worth buying, even on minimum wage, but would certainly be in my top 25 for next year, can't understand why he wasn't used against the Raiders in FW2 when Lawrence clearly wasn't fit.

Gibbs was exceptional in the Finals Series, had a barnstormer against the Roosters, needs to carry this type of form to the regular season, still think he is a little hesitant with ball in hand.

Ayshford has become one of the most dangerous centres in the game in only a short space of time, being a fairly young member of the team, I can only see him getting better, his application in defence was also great and shut down opposing centres really well for most of the season.

Farah has improved as a captain and is now starting to put in consistent performances, thoroughly deserved Hooker of the Year at the Dally M's. With him at the helm, the Tigers attack will always be potent, and his partnership with Marshall will be essential if we are to progress to further finals series. As long as those two can play the percentages and pull out the Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon card when necessary, we're fine.

Daniela was injured for that match, he came off crook against the Roosters with a leg injury and that was it for him for the season.

The 'return' of Liam Fulton was amazing!
The 'rising' of Andrew Fifita every week!
The 'risking' of Daniel Fitzhenry for Team Selection!
The 'recalling' of Lote Tuqiri back to Rugby League!
The 'realizing' of Geoff Daniella against the Warriors!
The 'revealing' of Mitch Brown's potential as a player!

Amazing how the letter 'R' is effective!

fulton was always amazing

My biggest three improvers;

- Mitch Brown: Even with McKinnon around, I see him to be injury plauged next year also so Mitch will get more than enough game time in first grade.
- Simon Dwyer: The guy is an absolute menace, his work without the ball has been sublime, culminating with that heavy shot on JWH in the first finals game.
- Liam Fulton: I've not seen a player return from the UK a better player, and Fults has done just that. A little too small to be a second rower, but a real toiler in defence, has a great footy brain and always dangerous near the opposition tryline.

I think the whole squad will lift next year. We have had some tough times over the past 2 -3 years and one thing which stands out in our last 2 games, is we are hungrier than I have ever seen. The Wests Tigers are now a squad that knows how to win, but more importantly, each individual player is starting to know there role within the squad and also know how to play within themselves and not be selfish. We have developed into a team of Heart and Courage, and they are 2 main ingredients to winning Premierships…

In 2011, I'm expecting a big year from Keith Galloway, Chris Lawrence, Robert Lui and Lote Tuqiri. While 3 of these are some of our current stars, I'm expecting them to lift to a new level next year and grab just as many headlines as Robbie Farah & Benji Marshall.

2011...I cant wait!!! :sign:

Bryce Gibbs had an incredible season imo.

Both Ellis and Heighno lifted a notch.

Benji played more consistently and I thought had an amazing season.

Ayshford came good at the right end of the season, hopefully he takes his form into next season. Pressure on positions really lifted his game it appears…

Lui was crap for most of the season, but played very well a few games out from the finals and throughout the finals played VERY well.
