Could turn him into a good back rower to replace Ellis

What is the fascination with the tigers buying players that play in 1 position and making them into something else to slot into another position

I could win lotto too….

Way to shatter my hopes and dreams of retiring early Ink 😢

Guess I'll just have to hope young BJ turns into a fine talent for the Tigers.

SKD lightyears above BJL. But SKD is one of the best centres in the game so obviously.

On another note, whats with Sheens trying to turn people in other positions? Has it ever seriously worked??? Lolesi to Lock = FAIL, Benji to centre = FAIL, Morris to halfback = FAIL, Lawrence to five eigth = FAIL…..

Benji played 04 in the centres

Yeah he did, but he was only playing there because Sheens refuzed to play him at 5/8 because he didn't think he was ready. It wasn't because Sheens was trying to turn him into a centre.

Notwithstanding, he was still playing at centre.

If we go back to the orignal point, Milford_ Magic was talking about how Sheens has a history of failing in trying to convert players to different positions, and that included Marshall in the centres. Why would you consider Marshall in the centres a failure when he was only playing there in a stop-gap type role till Sheens deemed him ready to move to 5/8? Its not like Sheens penciled him in long-term in the centres

I suspect Benji had some time in the centres when he started so he could experience what it was like for those who would be on the receiving end of his playmaking for the rest of his career? (in the halves)

You'd think with sneaky Sheens' form he might be trying to turn Leilua into a Tony Williams style of second rower. Otherwise who is left without a future (at the Tigers that is), Ayshford? Koroibete?

it might work, Williams is a way better forward than he was a back (stating the obvious there)
