Can someone make this thread a sticky? So I can come back here and laugh about halfway through next season.

Adam Blair is a class player. One of the best forwards in the comp, the vice-captain of NZ. Has won a premiership, played in three grand finals, won the tri-nations. He is a leader and will be great for us, just like Ellis is.

100% spot on Hybrid Run it as a sticky
Watch him during the semis Actually even better.
Watch him rise to the challenge this weekend against the Red V
A few people are going to be wiping egg off their faces next season

:roll Thoughts now guys? :stuck_out_tongue:

Blair dosent seem to do much in any game. Still not sure why their is so much hype. Misses tackles too.

Blair had a real big second half last night, kept the Dragon edge attack at bay, slowed the play the balls down and ran some good dirty yards. He will be great, Ellis on one side and Blair on the other. The other thing he has a big engine, can play 80 minutes if required

Look, I dont want to be critical, but for his price & so called "best player ever" shouldnt he have 2 big halves.
Really I could think of 10 backrowers that work harder & would be better value than Adam Blah Blah.

Bob56 should put the lotto numbers up here. Called it spot on.

1974 semifinal, Bob56 and Lisa….

You were right, we were wrong.

Ive just gone back through this thread and it is almost comical to read what our thought were only a year ago about Blair. We were , just about all of us, excited to see him come to this club. Our optimism and expectations for this year were high.

Its amazing to witness what a crapshoot it has turned into.

I still think Blair would shine if we had a proper halfback and some sort of structure,we have neither.

Agree. He is also being picked in the front row by our genius coach, when he is a wide, and I mean wide, running second rower or lock.

Oh for a coach who will pick players in their proper positions.

To be honest, the best games Blair has played this year have been at prop.

Correct. He looks much better there than out wide.

Its not Sheens fault or the teams structure or the lack of a halfback or whatever. He has just been a dud buy.

He wasn't outstanding at storm really, just looked good outside slater and smith.
We were unlucky that he turned out dodgy

Ok..you dont like what I say …BUT,.. I hope Blair is more involved next year. I watched Melbourne again, and again, Manu and **Proctor** are so more involved. And if its your old arguement , he is waiting for next year, I hope he likes it here cause we have got him for ..four years.

he imo is one of the most underrated forwards in the game.

Thanks stryker…I also just went back through the thread..and cringe at some of the comments made.. But nothing has changed Blair is still in 1st grade..but his performance against StGI last Saturday was a disgrace.

Why should it change he does so much on and off the ball but you all close ur eyes to the good and shit on him for the bad. He isn't the only player doing bad or probably not playing to his standard

Funny how different people see a game. I thought that he played great against the Saints. Ran good lines, tackled well, as usual, quick play the balls etc.

What is it exactly that you want him to do?

Yeah I thought he had a good game too - he has often done just as much as Ellis.

He still has the odd dumb penalty in him but I think overall he was good again.

Just needs a higher workrate. Other players that position similar to him but on the other side of the field seem to get through a lot more tackles and metres.

Ok. maybe I want more. But especially the 2nd half against StGI he seemed continually on the other side of the ruck to where the ball was going..and then ran the dummy and did not receive the ball other times. If you get a chance to watch that game again on replay have a look.

Bell and Moors were everywhere compared to him….Maybe I am biased..Thats the way it is.
