Got no problem with the outcome PROVIDED that this new policy is CONSISTANTLY applied across the competition.

I expect to see Melbourne to struggle to field a team every second week from here on in.

All we want is consistency. I'm skeptical that we will get it.

I can't even remember the incident. Does anyone know at what point in the game it happened?

And to echo others' views, I have no problem if the judiciary suspends players for trying to hurt others… if they do it consistently!

And of course, that is a massive if!!!

There definitely wasnt much in it.

IMO he was just trying to stop Morris getting a quick play the ball.I didnt see any twist, just a pull.

But…..I have no problem if this is the new standard......as previously mentioned, the Storm are gonna struggle.

I agree.

The problem I have with Blair being charged and suspended is that we see the same thing in every 2nd tackle of every game. The tacklers get up and drag the attackers legs to the side to try to stop him getting up to play the ball. I reckon we've seen it hundreds of times, yet no one is ever charged.

I believe it's unnecessary and a blight on the game, so I hope they stamp it out. Will be interesting to see if anyone else is charged in the coming weeks. Bet it doesn't happen.

I hadnt seen the tackle until today. What absolute garbage. The fact that Morris doesn't even bat an eyelid over it says that it happens in every tackle.

Ennis's cannonball and twist on woods was 100 times worse then Blair's.

If this is the standard then about 73 players will get cited this next week.

Blair your a Muppet!!
Why would you do that? it's just crap which is how you've played since joining us, i don't care what anyone says but Lote is the worst buy WT have ever made and i think down the track Blair will take that prize.
Never rated him at Melb and now he's even worse, never understood all the fuss about him apparently he does amazing things on the field that but nobody notices, maybe we have to wear special magical glasses or something to see it because i just see a average and at times below average nrl player definitely not one worth anywhere near what he's being paid.
Pull your head in and your finger out Blair and start earning your money you thief, your ripping off every WT fan who has paid to watch their team this year with your half hearted efforts and now you start this sh*t, your supposed to be a leader but your all talk no action just like your other kiwi mate. End rant

It is the softest suspension I've ever seen, absolute joke.

Agree. They are surely kings of the leg twist.

There were people complaining about the tactic of the leg twist, i was one of them, and thought it was a crappy tactic, i wanted it banned, it seems that it has been..unfortunate that our player is the first suspended but Im glad they are making a move in the direction to get rid of it.

yeah pretty ridiculous suspension

sure a leg twist is a dog move, but did he even twist the leg?!

One or two radio stations were saying this morning Wests Tigers were considering bringing Ellis back one week early due to the suspension.

This guy is a joke. Sure it didn't do any harm and yes maybe he was just trying to slow the play the ball down as most do in most tackles these days, but he put his shoulder and head in there. Why?

I just hate the way he tackles, lazy, lazy, lazy! Thinks he doesn't have to bend his back and put the shoulder in. Look at how Lote broke his arm, from memory that was another lazy effort by Blair.

Should have got suspended for dumb and lazy.
Doesn't worry me in the slightest that he isn't playing this week.

He lifted his leg and then pulled it out laterally, so in an up then left movement…imo

I too would hope theyre consistent, but when are they ever consistent....maybe this is a cracdown of some sort.

I dont recall Ennis' one....can someone tell me what time in the game it occurred, Id like to see it still have the game on IQ

Tooth: Im pretty sure Lotes arm broke before blair even got there, dont think AB made contact with Lote at all....might be wrong. But yes he is bloody lazy, bumping players, pushing them....his defence is crap really

Not happy at all with this outcome. It was a little grubby, but no where near as bad as Ennis' tackle which was 100 times more likely to cause an injury.

Would be interesting to read this thread if it was one of our guys on the receiving end. Think a few people might only be looking at the tackle through one eye
