Blair's stats

im not defending the bloke ,i was at the game last nite and he looked to me that he was carrying an injury,i hope he was cause if he wasnt he should be dropped

When he took the ball up he was standing flat footed, do you blokes think it would be any better if he was playing in closer in attack & defence?.

given our issues in the middle 3rd, id move him to the middle, push groat to the bench and Fulton to the left edge.

People make too much of stats. My issue with Blair last night was the silly penalties. As an edge runner he is not expected to come in to the centre for hitups, that is for the middle third players (2 props and heighington) and the wingers on early tackles. It is blair and ellis' role to attack the edges, we didn't go to Blair's edge last night.

That said Blair did not play well, but im hugely against judging on stats.

I don't think Blair was any worse than a lot of others. I agree though, he has to stop giving away silly penalties. I think he is a good player however the price we paid for him ceratinly flatters him. He's a good addition to the team but we have paid far too much for him.

um, heighingtons stats were roughly the same?

if its the same in a few weeks, well yeah, maybe we do have some issues with him… bigger concern is starting groat to be honest

Look at Souths with Inglis, he wasnt getting any ball in the centres so they moved him to fullback to get him more involved. Same thing must be done with Blair. Move him to the front row and make him get more involved. The blokes got to fire up.

I think Blair out played Heighington. It was interesting sitting out there last night watching the forwards behind the play. As much as I like Heighington and am loathed to sound critical of him, I think he's struggling the past few games. Fitness ? Injury, I don't know. Great to see him getting invloved in that last Tigers try with some good hands but not much else from him the the last few weeks when I think we really needed a senior forward to stand up and be counted. At least Blair was trying to take on the role of a ball playing back rower and his involvement was reasonably good.

They said he was going to play in the middle last night, not his usual wide edge possy

I said all this when we signed him but all I got told by the experts on this site that I knew nothing and just wait till starts playing for us..well all I can say is…add Blair to my list ...Stephen ( make Wests Tigers Balmain ) Humphreys..Tim ( god..will you EVER LEAVE ! ) Sheens and now Adam ( The Bludger ) Blair.

have to agree ,at $500k, youd expect a genuine effort, his stats ,according to the daily telegraph were,5 hit ups,29 metres gained, 29 tackles, 4 missed tackles. :wtf
