Blake Austin

Surprised no club in the nrl is interested.
He's not that bad.

He refuses to pass. Last week they were 10 out and he did his show and go and the Penrith defence didin’t even flinch, it was a regulation tackle. It’s no coincidence his stock has fallen since every other team in the comp figured him out. The most one dimensional player i’ve ever seen.

Well summarised. Austin is a very limited player. He has built his career off his ability to sniff out a try. Other than that he hasn’t got much.

If he sniffs a couple of times a game it would be ok with me.

He will carve up in the UK.
His career has been very disappointing, never reaching the heights it was expected.

Sucks. Good bloke tho.

Austin was offed a 4 year contract extension by the Raiders last year and he said no paul Kent was talking on the raido earlier this year and questioned if his manager gave him the right advice by saying no to 750k a year Austin wanted more and backed him self to get more he also came out after Kent spoke about his manager on the raido and sadi it was his decision to turn it down so good luck to Austin

Sign him.

One thing I like about him is he doesn’t lack confidence and takes the line on.

I think he was awarded by the players as best back with us in 2013 when he was with us

Honestly I think he has more bad games than good in him.

We scored twice in Austin's defensive corridor yesterday, and he was the beneficiary not the cause of their second half points glut yesterday. Raiders are still 1 win less than us on the table, bemoaning their inability to close out tight games all seasons. The fault for that lays on Austin and Sezer.

That being said, as a #14, which apparently he doesn't want to be, but that for me is his best position.

Austin is meeting Brad Arthur this Thursday regarding contract discussions. Apperantly wants to get back to Sydney and he isnt worried who he plays for as long as they are a Sydney based club.

7\. Moses
6\. Austin

I like it but they're as bad as Gamble when it comes to tackling.

Very interested to see how it plays out.

Even more reason to laugh at the eels neither play for the team just their own highlights reel

Hes probably only a little better than croft and jacks and much older.

I would sign Austin & play him in the 3 or 4.

I would hate to be the winger outside him

Be no different than Mahe then, don't get me wrong I love his bustling runs but if he could learn how to draw and pass then he would become a much more dangerous player as teams wouldn't be able to gang tackle him. As it stands I think every opposition knows he isn't looking to pass when he gets the ball, it's only an after thought for him.

That is true but in Mahes defence he has always been an outside back(mainly winger)Austin has played far more football where passing the ball is an essential skill he should have being in the halves, Imo he fails miserably as a link in the backline.

Can’t argue with that at all mate.

Nah Melbourne have showed an interest in him. I think maybe Melbourne will sign him.
The Melbourne Storm look set to enter the race to sign Raiders five-eighth Blake Austin for 2019\. Melbourne have joined Parramatta in a fight to secure Austin’s signature, as the playmaker is set to walk out of the Raiders at season end. After losing Cooper Cronk to the Sydney Roosters, the Storm are still on the hunt for a prominent half as considered long-term replacement Brodie Croft hasn’t panned out the way Melbourne would’ve liked.
