I would be totally shocked if we got him, mainly because (as others have stated) he has said he wants to go to a club in the running for the comp. there's no doubt we are a young team building towards big things, but can't see that happening next year. I suppose if he's chasing the coin we are probably in with the best shot.
Would feel bad for Simona/nofo whoever missed out on a spot to him, but at his best he is close to the best outside back in the game.

Guess the coach and management would need to decide if Fergo has made the right changes, and if Potter believes the team dynamic is strong enough to cope with any settling in pains that might occur.
At the moment, knowing how messed up our cap was (as well as how we just begun to regain control) and how much Fergo will want…..do we need him, or do we need to consolidate what we have and continue to build on what we know?

Its a risk you need to be willing to make , for our situation if he doesn't work the downside will be minimal
The upside of having a talented centre playing the football he is capable of could urn us into Top 8 contenders
But we need to do this and find a way to keep Nofoaluma ,Simona Koroibete if we decide to go down this track

we can sift through the crap very easily at the end of the season like we did this year. it's sooo easy when you are bursting at the seams with talent. just gotta manage it well in communication and salary cap management which mayer/potter are doing nicely.
if lets say, richards and lulia are flops or austin or even taqele we can simply let them go

Hmm yeah I seem to remember Paterson been associated with the Mundine group after a period of depression at Newcastle.
For a bloke form a troubled background it could take a team mate or a staff member to settle him down and bring out the best in him, it could be with us. It's a risk like any recruitment decision.

The only way we will get Ferguson is we might be the only club that actually has cap space to fit him in. He really dosnt strike me as a Potter signing,far too much baggage and big question marks on his commitment and dedication. No doubting he can play,but I would run with what we have for 2014 and not make any hasty calls to mid season 2014.
