Bloke in a Bar Season Preview

I watched the latest "Wests Tigers Life" podcast on YouTube. One thing that stood out when they were talking about our starting centre pairing.

One of the guys mentioned he had been told by an associate that has doubts Olam would be in the line up for at least the short term after seeing him at training. That comes on top of Olam himself mentioning his "injuries" when talking about "perceived security issues" when PNGs new winning franchise enters the NRL in 2028.

He didn't really elaborate on it, however I'm personally of the belief that Olam won't be playing first grade for some time, if at all this season. I hope I'm wrong, that his surgeries were a complete success, he returns and absolutely kills it but I doubt it, sadly.

If indeed Olam is as busted as some are saying, Richo & Co should find a way to get some cap relief on medical grounds.
Someone was on here the other day (appologies I cant remember who) and said they saw Olam training and he was limping all over the field and gave the impression he was very much still injured. Even questioned if he had bothered having surgery yet....

If this Olam injury continues it’s one of the worst deals we’ve ever done, and we’ve done some shockers! The bloke has been on one leg since we swapped him for Blore.

So Bellamy knew what he was doing ? Or are we just unlucky ?
We have had so many of these type of deals it’s not funny.
Maybe we should review our due diligence protocols !

Odessa I think it was.

Jesus. I hope this rumours wide of the mark but even I was against this signing even before it was a done deal...and I rarely get things like this right... Hope I'm wrong but so far he's been nowhere near his. Melb form. It was clear he was broken you only had to look the way he played for storm, no fear no self preservation but the body can only chop so much impact before it starts to protest

Just hoping if he is injured it's not one of the knees again, we already have one we have no idea how his knee will hold up this season.

Of course Bellamy knew what he was doing.

Bellamy's obviously done his home work on consumer law and knows it does not apply to NRL players.

We would get ripped off less if we did all our buying on Faecesbook Marketplace.

Are you suggesting we dont?

So we are looking at Olam as had surgery but won’t play for half or possible the whole season ? , what were the injuries that would do this much damage , and if this is correct he needs to be retired medically and we go find a solid centre , we can’t keep buying crap and it has stopped but Olam has been thus far a complete waste
I'm not sure he can be medically retired. If it is deemed that his current issue was a pre-existing injury from when he was signed he wouldn't qualify.
