BMM may leave us

He's contracted to the Wests Tigers until the end of next year, but don't be surprised if Ben Murdoch-Masila bobs up at another club well before then.

"BMM" has plenty of potential but his fitness has been an issue and he hasn't quite lived up to expectations.

We're hearing his management have been shopping him around and it could be that a change of scene is just what the Tongan international needs.

Not fussed really… He is another one of our young crop from a few years ago that was talked up by everyone and delivered nothing.

You must not have been watching many games at the back end of last yr.

Yep. He was outstanding last year. The only decent Potter did last year was to get the best out of BMM.

In a good side, he will look very good.

I like him he's agro but he doesn't use his frame effectively and he can be lazy. I think we should use him as an impact player running off brooks and anasta in fact make it anastas job to put bmm into holes bmm runs hard and anasta hits him on the chest. What happened to the days of halves ball playing and putting a player into space with a nice held up pass or a nice short ball. Footy was so much better when halves had skill.

Pearce did it last night at least twice and he is one of the poorer halves in the comp. it still happens although not so much in our team.

I like the guy and I hope he stays. I think he should be playing first grade.

X 2

He plays hard when he is in the team.

We have let a lot of decent players go (not super-stars but still good ones)

Ben Teo
Bronson Harrison
Andrew Fifita
and my all time fav - Bryce Gibbs

and the theme is consistent, they play better when they leave WT

In a structured environment, like the bunnies, storm etc, BMM would flourish.

They set things up for a back-rower/centre play.

Potter appears to be trying to achieve this but old habits die hard.

No coincidence Lawrence/Ayshford/BMM have all fallen from favour in recent years.

Along with Big T. Leaving him out of the NSW Cup yesterday was a bad move. He will leave & become a great player

If he moves on, he could be an Andrew Fafita or Ben Te'o and really kick on. Or he could continue with his lack of promise.

Our club manages to support young forwards while they act like teenagers. They seem to go somewhere else to mature.

Ofcourse I did, and I've seen a hell of a lot of him outside of first grade as well and he isn't first grade standard at this stage.

When will Tigers fans learn that 4 or 5 matches do not make a superstar…

Unfortunately you cannot hold onto players who dont fit the system you have, to stop them from finding one that is able to extract their full potential. Just like Fifita. He would never have realised his potential here, as I fear is the same prospect we face with BMM.

Considering they were the last ''4 or 5 matches'' he played in fg, i think that makes a bit of a difference.
