BMM your thoughts ??

I really think this has to be his season to step up ,but I have my doubts he will .

He looked like he is carrying some weight (know the feeling  ) and if Potter is going to blast these guys in the off season he may not cope well with it

Love to see the bloke as a starting second rower and going off his head the first 20-25 minutes on the edges terrorising opposition halves and then being brought back for the last 20 minutes to do the same

i don't know why ,but I get the feeling he may be another Bronson Harrison though and will go no further

He seems to lack involvement when he is on the field and is almost timid when he hits the line (hopefully its just Sheens coaching )

Prove me wrong big fella

What are others opinions ??

12 months ago i was wondering what the hype was about around here.

However he really impressed me at times this year - imo BMM is one to watch and I think he will thrive under a new coach.

I agree that it's a big season for BMM. his third season in the NRL. I think he shows a bit more mongrel than Bronson did, but we need more minutes out of him.

Agree with helmesy! I think he has the potential to be our most damaging forward as a wide running 2nd rower. Lose a bit of weight and work on his defence and I could definitely see him starting. Close to the line he could be an absolute weapon

My only problem with BMM was his lack of game time this year. Whether it was his fault of his coach's, he must get more game time because he played some devastating roles for us this year.

He is big, fast and mobile. I think he will become a sensation in 2013.

he has been bought along slowly, I reckon he has showed he has potential to be a devastating ball runner, the only question for me is mobility in defense. I think this year will make or break him. At worst I think we will see him be a long term first grader offering 20 or 30 off the bench at a number of clubs.

Could easily be a Tony Williams type for us. At times he looks unstoppable and capable of breaking the line with every run. Other times he seems to have little impact. Hopefully Potter has the right plan for him and he'll really hit his straps in 2013.

Was unsure what the original hype was about but have seen him start to believe in himself.
Played properly with the right guidance he'll be a star.
My bold prediction - the new Bob Lindner!
(was going to say Cleal but his body shape reminds me of Lindner)

Yep, i think it's less about BMM and more about what Potter will do for BMM. I don't see him starting for a moment but he could be a damaging impact player from the bench. I'm excited for him.

Bobby was a great player. But so was Cleal. Y

Big big future if he can strip 8kg of puppy fat. He needs to do this to get more game time

He definitely needs more game time and on a few occasions showed glimpses of being a really good hole runner. I think he has the potential to be the most damaging second rower we've got but at the moment he's a long way off it.

There's a bit of junior moors about him - potential but always on the cusp of being good so let's hope he can step it up big time this year!!

A touch more fitness and he will kill it.

He was out best metre eater on average per run in 2012 for our forwards…. just needs to be able to play longer.

Really hoping he shows continued improvement in 2013 because the beginning of 2012 showed glimpses of his potential.

I remember when he scored his 1st 2 tries against Parra. I thought here we go, then he let in 3 tries with just poor effort & defence.
Even though he caught the balls in his 2 try effort he didn't really break a tackle, which has continued most games.
Also loosing the ball to Minichello over the line, it really summed up his season, so much potential BUT.
I see him in the front row where his lateral defence won't be an issue & with the 'Islander Gene' he can be a natural big fellow prop.

Please tell me your not rating Lindner or Cleal on the same page

Cleal went missing big time when Manly or NSW needed him

Lindner was a champion ,always lifted for the big games

Anyone who can carry a broken leg in SOO when you have no subs left for 20 minutes is a absolute hero in my eyes

both pretty amazing players happy I'd rate them similar abilities.

That said being a qlder and a west player happy I'd imagine you'd have him walking on water

I know I rate the tigers blues players from the 80's just above the gods !

Goose I rate him a better player because he was a better player ,great workrate , great go forward

Cleal wouldn't have had a half of the workrate of Lindner , and Cleal wouldn't have touched a ball a third of the time in his own half compared to the oppositions half
