I don’t think we did build them. TDS got some development but essentially we panicked and threw them into first grade as 18 year olds and grew their egos/expectations disproportionately.
I doubt the lessons were learned.

We panicked so hard they're playing first grade at other clubs a few months later....

What is the name of the lesson? How to make the 8 while keeping the egos of the generational talents of Gen Z in check? Can you make some Tables for how that one pans out?

If you had of experienced it yourself, you would understand the concept.

It’s a problem with a underachieving team
They get promoted too early.
The number of hope/potential youth players we carry in the top 30 is way too many.
Kit and Luke,matama,Galvin,tds,Sakuru, mason
 
Da Silva wasn't rushed. He got himself a contract elsewhere based on little minutes in FG. at WTs.
And have the Bulldogs managed Galvin any differently by throwing him in headfirst into a key position in a team that was in the top two when he arrived at the expense of the player that got them there. How did he earn that?
The whole NRL community have been doing somersaults over him he was never going to stay at WTs no matter how he was managed.

What’s done is done with both he and Da Silva and they are both now on over inflated contracts that they never truly earned, so we have dodged bullets with both of them.

The problem we have had in the past with these young guys being pushed into NRL early stems from a severe lack of depth over years. Because we haven’t had a quality NRL roster we end up playing kids that show some ability before they should be played. This in turn effects the whole club by stripping them out of their age groups and development grades thus weakening those teams and so on it goes until we have weakened all our teams by promoting guys to fill the gaps.
Along with this the club juggles the expectations of young players and their parents and managers who want them playing NRL and you end up with “TDS attitude”.
Of course it doesn’t help when your club is losing in practically every grade every week for their whole careers. The ones that have experienced winning in teams as juniors also have difficulty dealing with continually losing.

The way he’s going there’s is a good chance he will be playing reserve grade next week.
As others have pointed out it’s not entirely his fault as he is trying change his natural playing style to fit into the Bulldogs system as a 7, but it is mostly his fault as he knew what he was getting himself into.
Don’t forget that this time last season Galvin was regularly in the top 3-5 players on the field regardless if we were winning or losing.
Since he’s been playing 7 for the Bulkdogs he hasn’t been in the top 10 players on the field once.

These things can be transitory. Luke Brooks left so he could play finals football. That happened once and now he’s back playing for a plodding team going backwards. Dogs have had a couple of decent years but they’re throwing their eggs into the youth basket with Turdhead and the young hooker. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain a top 4 level over the next few seasons.
 
I would love to be a fly on the wall if the dogs lose the rest of the season games and drop out of the premiership race with all yelping pathetic loses.

That joint will turn radioactive, it's feral supporters will be foaming at the mouth, club top knobs will be asking questions and the players murmurs will be thinking why something was fixed that wasn't broken.

Can picture Gould's head on a platter with an apple in his mouth and Ciraldo peering under the tablecloth wondering when it will be safe to come back out.
 
I think Gavin’s hand injury is worse than they are saying , he pulled his hand away from a lot of tackles , hope they keep playing the little shit and keep losing games

Look on the bright Side at the Tigers you get an Extra 4 to 5 weeks every year with no stress of Finals the wear and tear on the body because you are forced to play at a higher level

After 5/6 years at the that's the equivalent of playing an extra season

The benifits for later in life Can Not be undervalued just the savings on Medical Bills Alone Big $$$$

Another bonus of not playing Finals the Fans have absolutely no explanations of you playing Next year in Finals


Another bonus Summer starts early you mite have to turn up to training for a few weeks but it's more of a summer camp Lunch club

You are planning your trips chatting with team mates about the best places to get drunk in Bali


Another bonus you start drinking getting smashed on Friday drinks in the bar after training drinks start at 4pm

You get to sleep in with your hangover Saturday morning before telling the coach your having a team meeting and going to be watching tonight's game as a group so you can watch how the better teams play the only problem is your all meeting at the pub at 3pm for a late lunch and beers the game starts at 8pm so you mite not remember much



I think I have to be part of recruitment at the Tigers
