So we've seen Benji and Blair cop it, Potter likewise. Now today Humpty's "resigned" from his position. Who's next…....The board. In my opinion the board should be watching their step right now because if they're not careful fan unrest will lead to their ousting. They're under the pump in a BIG, BIG way now.

The entire current board should be sacked ASAP. There are mostly a bunch of dinosaurs especially from the Wests side that think we will become the Magpies (it will never happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The sponser money mainly comes from companies that were associated with the Balmain Tigers and I have heard the sponsers are against more games at Campbelltown.

I would love an administrator such as Bruno Cullen to run the club in the short term to a fully independent board can be appointed.

We are a mess as a club right now and we need to take a broom through the entire place and start again.

Sack the board? Whose going to sack them? The board are the representatives of the stakeholders, replacing them at leagues club level is near impossible.

can we go over their head through the NRL? It's gonna be a real issue sorting this power struggle in the boardroom. Cause no one is really 'above' the board except the NRL but i dunno how the NRL would actually help…

We could wait for our russell to come and buy the Tigers up i guess?

How much would an NRL club actually cost out of curiosity?

Dunno much about boards, committees etc…surely they arent untouchable.

Watto mention changing the constitution....dunno how this can happen either

I'd really love to hear from an experienced and indepent knowledgeable person on these type matters

The way its set up is reidiculous, what recent WTs supporter is going to want to join Balmain or Wests FCs?

They want to join WTs, but all they get is a seat and crappy pocket scarf...no rights, no say in the running of the club

It amuses me when many here say we dont have a right to know how certain things happen in our club, recruitment retention etc etc...it happens at other clubs.

Wow, you are well informed!!!

How do you know all this?

Sponsor money mainly comes from Wests Ashfield.

Balmain do not have any money. Remember, he who pays the Piper, calls the tune.

The change has to come from groups who are willing to challenge the current board for their seats. So yes it's not as easy as just sacking them. I'm really hoping there are people in a position to do so and are thinking of doing so. It's also worth noting that the current board rep both Balmain and Wests, who are clearly the biggest problem for the JV. It's a complicated thing but we have to find a way to get on the same page.

Best solution for the club would be for the NRL to step in. Take the licence off Balmain and Wests and bring in people to run it just as Wests Tigers. Stop all the the off field garbage. Pick a ground (whichever is most profitable) and play there. Commemorate Wests Tigers history in retro rounds. Can't see it happening but it would be the best way forward.

THIS THIS a thousand times THIS. im 28 years old i was born in to a balmain jersey. i am so sick of balmain this, balmain tha,t magpies this west,s that. Balmain and Western suburbs can both vanish for all i care. i couldn't give a hoot about baliman, im a WESTS TIGERS fan/supporter/member Wests Tigers are my team. we need a Wests Tigers board. a split board is like 2 parents on either side of the country trying to raise a kid in Alice springs. We need people working for the benefit of OUR team, not defunct sides. WTFL

Wests Tigers are going cheap at this stage.

Actually what he's saying is correct. Sponsor money - ie money that corporate sponsors put into the club (Meriton, BINGO Skip Bins, Hyundai etc) mostly comes from the Balmain side. What you're talking about with Wests Ashfield is money coming in when there is a financial shortfall, which is actually split 50-50, as was addressed in the Roy Masters article. Balmain have paid up their share, they just had an extension of some sort on it.

There is alot of talk about 'we' & 'our', but realistically Wests Tigers is a company limited by shares. It is technically privately owned…

So why can,t they list as a public company with the Asx as the broncos are ! And us supporters can buy in …..

The WT Board represent the WT OWNERS - Groups who have a financial interest in WT

WT is a joint venture Company (not football club) OWNED by 4 parties

**Balmain Football Club - 50%** = 5 men/5 Votes on WT Board
**Wests Group - 50%**
Wests Ashfield Leagues Club - 30% = 3 men/3 Votes on WT Board
Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club - 10% = 1 man/1 vote on WT Board
Wests Magpies Football Club -10% = 1 man/1vote on WT Board

chairman role from each side alternate each year.

Historical In-fighting within the Wests Group has lead to less favourable outcomes for the Wests Magpies Football club (i.e. Wests Juniors going to BRET NSW Cup or how many games at Campbelltown etc)

The Magpies FC Board is virtually controlled by Wests Ashfield and the members have very little influence or say in the decisions made (i.e. Magpies board decided on a single WT NSW Cup team)

The Wests Group are more united in recent times in requesting Balmain FC to 'cough up their contribution' to WT. It does not mean Wests Group are ganging up to wipe Balmain off the table or dissolve WT.

The only way WT can have a truly independant board is if all 4 parties SELL / GIVE UP their financial ownership in WT

Sell to ARLC
Sell to a private owner (like a Tinkler or Crowe)
ALL Mutually agree to give up all their roles and still own WT (Very unlikely)

Real key issues that need addressing:

**Clear $11m Balmain Debt (Ashfield possibly buy out debt) - Could mean a WT branded leagues club(s)
Establish a consistant brand/identity (internally and externally in media)
Focus on South West presence (be based there or more home games there)
Find a new CEO
Clear Sheens payout**

Ashfield Leagues also made out a $1.5m loan to WT at the end of 2012 on top of its normal contributions.

The only 'sponsorship' that Balmain have 'brought into' WT is the Ryde Eastwood Leagues club sponsorship of WT NSW Cup team.

Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and provide some quotes where board members have said this is their intention, i bet you can't
