So we've seen Benji and Blair cop it, Potter likewise. Now today Humpty's "resigned" from his position. Who's next…....The board. In my opinion the board should be watching their step right now because if they're not careful fan unrest will lead to their ousting. They're under the pump in a BIG, BIG way now.

The entire current board should be sacked ASAP. There are mostly a bunch of dinosaurs especially from the Wests side that think we will become the Magpies (it will never happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The sponser money mainly comes from companies that were associated with the Balmain Tigers and I have heard the sponsers are against more games at Campbelltown.

I would love an administrator such as Bruno Cullen to run the club in the short term to a fully independent board can be appointed.

because the wests tigers is full of balmain people and they deprived the magpies of any good players. So they did atrociously for a while till the Magpies were forced to merge. Had a -1100 pd last season. And no that's not a typo. 1,100….

No doubt in my mind, as a Director myself, that Stephen has been made a scapegoat of the board.

I have met Stephen and he is competent … No question about that. All the decisions that are made, are made by the board. The Chairman tells the CEO what the plan is and the CEO is expected to carry out that plan.

However, as things are not going well, rather than any directors stepping down, the CEO has been told to jump before he is pushed.

For mine, all this clubs problems rest squarely with the board. The next CEO, no matter how good he is, will be hamstrung by a bitter and incompetent board. And the success of this club, or lack thereof, will be there for all to see.

Best solution for the club would be for the NRL to step in. Take the licence off Balmain and Wests and bring in people to run it just as Wests Tigers. Stop all the the off field garbage. Pick a ground (whichever is most profitable) and play there. Commemorate Wests Tigers history in retro rounds. Can't see it happening but it would be the best way forward.

Balmain and Western suburbs can both vanish for all i care. i couldn't give a hoot about baliman, im a WESTS TIGERS fan/supporter/member Wests Tigers are my team. we need a Wests Tigers board. a split board is like 2 parents on either side of the country trying to raise a kid in Alice springs. If the Sharks consortium can take over the board, why can't some savvy business men do the same for the Wests Tigers. Humphreys is simply the monkey, we need the organ grinders! When the board members don't have to be held accountable for their descisions, thats when they get the GOD complex. Move them on and get a proper board with their only priority to makr the Wests TIgers Unitied and back up where it should be.

Having been a general manager of a leagues club, you can't just replace the board. There are such things as corporate governance and a constitution which must be adhered too.

The problem with wests tigers is that there board members from differing corporations so replacing them all in one hit is next to impossible. The current board need to look at themselves and see what they have created and for the betterment of wests tigers they need to resign. Before resigning they need to draft a new constitution outlining the new election of board members. The board needs to be business people, not people hanging on to past hatreds. The board can run the wests tigers with the CEO and recruiters looking after the playing roster.

I saw with interest on Nrl 360 that smith talked about the above issues regarding corporate governance. I think he is the right track as some clubs are tarnishing the Nrl brand and with new constitutions the NRL will have more powers to step in and sort matters out at board level.

At the end of the day, NRL is a billion dollar business and needs to be run like one. It's time some clubs get with the picture or they may be left behind
