I dislike the idea. He got burned for pace by Hodges and he isn't quick.

He may have been an upgrade on Lawrence but when you consider Miller will also be defending on that side I would suggest an actual centre who plays in that slot naturally and has the instincts is a better fit

He was shown for pace and lateral pace in defence when put there last week. Maybe it was just because he'd already done quite a bit of work in the middle, but to me it looked more like his playing style and physique have changed.

I like having him in the team but would prefer to see him at half - if Morris gets any room it will likely leave Bodene clutching at thin air.

That exactly what I thought we r going to need pace down that side most def!

His lack of pace won't matter so much if he's next to Koro, who can more than adequately run someone down.

If he's along side Utai, then thats a huge huge problem.

They need to put anyone next to Koro who can draw 2 defenders at times but get the ball away. Can you imagine having a center who could attract 2 defenders? I can only dream. Imagine if we had Morris next to Koro, the tries would not stop. Next year it might be Richards playing that role.

One of Simona's strengths is skipping to the outside of his man bringing the opposition winger in and then popping a ball to an unmarked winger (koro)…..Bodene has bulked up too much to be a starting centre. Simona must come in to the team.

That's a good call Sirro, that's a good call indeed.

Maybe Harry Potter wants to open the game with a physical onslaught then bring on Simona.

Bulldogs are a very big side.

Very true…..he is steppy and has a neat little pass or even flick.

I wouldnt mind seeing Koro and Simona next to eachother.Could see smoe fireworks.

I would add that whoever is inside Koro ahould pass it to him early and often.

Oops nearly forgot my x2\.

Bodene has played a lot more center in his career than second row.

I've got no problem with it. He's a good defender and will be damaging with his wide runs.

Don't know why anyone would be excited by Simona playing. He's the very definition of average.

Can u bodene chasing Morris down the line we need more speed on the team koro is bloody fast but he is only one person we need more

Potters trying to pick a team that might not get beaten rather than pick a team that might win. A very defensive selection but probably the only way to go, you need to control the damage as a massive blow out and the season could degenerate into a rabble

Exactly !!!

As long as he is not missing every tackle Koro should be able to turn and chase if there is a line break.

If there is jersey grabbing then even Koro wont be able to help with his pace

But from what i saw from Thompson against Storm, he can tackle and tackle hard. He likes is physical hence the Back Row role is where he looks the best

I agree with this also. I wonder if someone like Steve Matai would've copped similar criticism? Not saying that he is the same but similarities can be drawn.

lewis brown also went alright at center for penrith

Josh Morris or Mitch Brown look specials for 1st try scorer if up against Bodene and whoever..far too slow for centre. I am not a fan but he looked pretty good against Melb..should be in the pack.
