Mundine wins by making his opponents miss - that is not the basic principle of boxing - you still need to hurt your opponent which Choc rarely does!!

By saying if Lenny wins he's done more i mean by winning a geniune world title. But your right, world title or not, Katsidis has done more thus far. Im not trying to take away from Geale or Katsidis at all….....im just talking Lenny up.
 
I've only seen Lenny Z fight a couple of times but he looked to me to be one of the best prospects in Australian boxing.

Well Ks apparently my opinion and a fair few others differ from your;s, So be it, Its all about difference of opinion I guess, The only thing I dont get is why you rubbish some elses opinion, Maybe you might have noticed that I am fairly new to this forum and have not made a lot of comments as yet? There is a reason for that, Being that I love reading everyones comments but not really being as knowlelgable as most, yes even yourself, In rugby league matters that is, I read the posts if I dont agree with them I dont bag them, I just give my opinion and leave it at that, If I agree well I might give aword of support, Or I might not, Though when it comes to something that I DO know something about (only through experience of course) I feel compelled to say my bit especially when somebody clearly bags my comment, Thats the difference.
 
Balmainbenny, if your offended i apologise. I didnt mean to bag your opinion. I agree with you that geale should have got the decision in that fight. The only thing i dont agree with is that Geale gave Mundine a boxing lesson. To me a boxing lesson means one guy won easily, and that fight was one of the closest fights ive seen. Id like to know how you can say it was a boxing lesson when it was such a close fight?
Other than that comment, we are in agreeance mate.
 
Gee mate talk about quick on the keyboard , We are nearly seeing eye to eye, Let me explain my comment, Firstly boxing lesson does not necessarily mean give the other fighter a compleate hiding it,s more technical than that without trying to sound like a smart a, Daniel beat mundine to the punch all night plus his punches were a lot crisper and acurate than chocs he just out classed choc on the night, IMHO Geale outboxed the man and he had no answer, In amateur fights there would be no way choc would have one that, But as we know in the pros anything goes, Hope you dig it? Now about Lenny Z this kid is agreat prospect, waiting for more, just like I am with Billy the kid????? I want to see more.
 
Yeh i get what your saying regarding the lesson. Personally i prefer to only use the term when someone is clearly outgunned. I thought they went pretty much punch for punch, both having some good moments. The knockdown is what got Mundine over the line i think. Its a tragdedy there wasnt a rematch as i believe Geale would have won easily if they fought again.
 
Mate yes sometimes it does look like they go punch for punch but that;s my point, Daniel CONNECTED with more crisper cleaner punches thus getting the points over choc, Sirro IMHO choc was clearly outboxed, choc new he lost that fight did you notice his body langauge after the fight he was suprised as anyone when he got the decision? Ks respect your point of veiw mate , You think your right I think Im right where do we go from here? Oh yeah, we agree to disagree.
 
Fair enough, we debating over a fight where we both believe Geale won….....we arguing by how much he won by.......bit pointless haha
 
Zab Judah today became a 5 time world champion.

Zab Judah = 5 time world champ? Doesnt sound right to me. Guess its a sign of modern day boxing with all the alphebet titles. Good fighter, but sad someone like him could become a 5 time

Yeah you need to take your hat off to Lenny. Went the distance against an unbeaten champion. Mundine has never come close to attempting something like that. I'm sure he'll get another chance soon.
 
They lenny fought had been beaten before. But at just 23 Lenny took the shot and will be a better fighter for it. Still believe he will be champion one day.

Pretty boy Floyd Mayweather won't step up so Manny is just running through cans I guess.
Doubt either of them have to prove anything, I assume it's a big pay cheque though.
