Braith v Robbie as captain

I'm looking at this objectively , would we get more out of Robbie if he wasn't captain and we gave the job to Braith (If we can find a permanent position for Anasta in the side)

Would his game go to another level without the pressure of the captaincy , Robbie is a great leader and an excellent skipper and if he wanted the job I wouldn't want to offend him and take it off him but I would rather see Braith talking to the referees and Farah plotting with Benji and Jacob about field position and what our plan of attack was so they were all on the same page

Sometimes the captaincy seems to weigh on Farah shoulders and the team doesn't need that especially if we blood some youngsters this season

Its just an idea and I feel it has some merit

understand your point of view but flat out NO.

Robbie is one of a small bunch who can thrive off being the captain. he leads by example. he revs up teammates and lifts them.

this should not happen.

Robbie skipper until he retires (provided we sign him up)

Anasta always argues with the refs and Im sure they go harder because of that.
Remember Darren Senter?

They are both leaders and will listen to each other. The 'c' as Ink aptly likes to put it is solely recognition of the 'tiger spirit'. Robbie hands down in this case.

No Robbie is the best man for the job.My memory could be wrong but i think that the roosters where the most heavily penalized team in 2012 hardly an endorsement for anastas captaincy

I wouldn't be taking the captaincy off Farah, I feel as a leader he improved this year and that should be rewarded for retaining the captaincy next year.

A few years ago when Robbie got the job I didn't think he was captaincy material.
I was completely wrong.
Robbie for the job as long as he wants it!

The only time I feel Farah struggled with the captaincy was when the club was left wanting for on-field leaders for the team due to injury.

I think his captaincy has improved over the time he has held the job.

Combine this with theprobability Braith will be in the backrow and I doubt he will be there for 80 minutes a game and Robbie is the logical choice

Farah aside, I like the idea of Anasta not being over burdened with a captaincy role. Less debating with the refs and more footy will be good for Braith. Anasta will be a leader amongst the boys regardless.

Unless Farah came out said he dosnt want it, their is no point even discussing the topic. The jobs Farah's 100%, Anasta will still have a massive influence on the team but he will not have the big C next his name while Farah wants the job.

It should be a lot easier gig this year not having to answer all the stinging questions at the after match press conferences while the head coach is ducking and weaving, would imagine Potter would stand up and take anything the press are willing to throw at him!!!!!

I wouldnt take the captaincy off Robbie while trying to get him to re-sign

Obviously you would run it by him first and ask what he'd think of having less pressure on the field, i don't think anyone is suggesting that Potter should walk up and say ''hey Robbie, guess what….''
