Brandon Smith

We could be in trouble here too let’s not get ahead of ourselves, the Terrell May could come back to bite us if he got too close to brandon
I dont think so.
It was over a year ago...they were at least smart enough not to incriminate themselves though it seemed to be a particularly bad winter last year for coughs and sniffles.
Apparently the NRL tested them as well...what came of that who knows?

To a lot of people, if any of this is true, is hardly a surprise.

To me - I've always defended him - I really like the Cheese and I genuinely enjoy listening to his takes on the game. I think, within the game itself, he is very switched on.

Be disappointed if these allegations turn out to be true.
You can see what the cops are doing. He organised coke for his mates...loads of people do it. Now they are calling it supply like he's a drug dealer.

The betting thing is dumb based on the current facts available.

He will be rubbed out for any drugs conviction though. What did Sailor get? Was it a 12 month ban?

The 2 kiwis after the test got bugger all
Edit- although not for supply

Roosters tangled in Brandon Smith allegations as startling details of police case emerge
Lachlan Harper

The Sydney Roosters have been caught up in Brandon Smith's upcoming court case after he was charged with dangerous drug supply and using inside knowledge for betting.
Queensland police laid the charges, issuing the Rabbitohs star with a summons to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on September 18.

On Nine's 100% Footy, 9News and The Sydney Morning Herald journalist Michael Chammas revealed the drug charge relates to his time at the Roosters and allegedly implicates a teammate.
"The issue is back to June 7 ... the police were investigating a person of interest in regards to drug supply and Brandon Smith's name came up in their phone," reported Chammas.
"They also found that Brandon Smith was allegedly trying to buy illicit drugs for Roosters teammates while they were in the Sunshine Coast on June 7 during the bye round.
"It's my understanding there was up to at least seven players on a golf trip that weekend in the Sunshine Coast."

The alleged betting offences reportedly relate to Smith's first game back with the Rabbitohs in round 18 in which he is alleged to have provided team selection information to the alleged drug dealer.
In a statement to 100% Footy, Souths confirmed the club is not standing down Smith and stressed he didn't bet on a match, adding that there's no allegations of cheating or corruption.

Nine's Danny Weidler reported on the show that Smith had also owed Roosters teammates' thousands of dollars, which were repaid.
The Roosters had also appointed a mentor for Smith.
Former teammate and captain Cameron Smith confirmed he'd known the 29-year-old enjoyed gambling but not to the extent of what is being alleged.
"I was aware of Brandon having the odd punt on horse races ... but nothing to the depths of what we're hearing at the moment," he said.
"He seemed as though he had his life in order at the time I spent with him at the Melbourne Storm so it's [all] pretty unfortunate."

It doesn't matter what he says about other players if there is no evidence who cares

Only real problem would be stupid players filming themselves on there phones for later watching

I just don’t understand how well paid players can go do this stupid stuff , 7 roosters golf trip and asking smith to get them drugs , how by phone , well done , all names will be available , but does the nrl really want say 4 or 5 players from the golden chooks named , I doubt it , this disappears and only smith will get jammed with something as unca Nick will clean it up with some hush $$$$ for smith

Politis already moved smith on
Nothing to see here

Not a good look for Teddy to be on that golf trip where the drugs were being "sourced" I have always believed that if you are not into the drug culture at the Rorters than you are on the outer. Over the years I have seen too many of their past and presents players having too good a time at various establishments in the city and the east.

Disclosing inside knowledge for betting? Is that against the law? Like if you know a player is injured and use that information to bet...is that even illegal?

Seems like we need more info on the betting situation.

From an NRL contract point of view it's a no no, but I am being specific to the legal side.
its VERY illegal pal

its VERY illegal pal
No...I don't think it is. Are you saying if a player is asked if they're playing, it is illegal to say so? Brandon is not accused of placing bets or profiting on this information and simply Brandon and Latrell playing does not guarantee any result. You can't bet on the team lineup. If you could, I would agree with you.

He's been a gambling addict and cocaine abuser for yonks now, not sure why any of this is surprising.

These kid have the world at their feet and they just love to fuq it up.

....."Smith unlawfully supplied a dangerous drug (cocaine) to Roosters player Victor Radley.......There is no suggestion of wrongdoing on Radley's behalf......... Isn't possession of cocaine "wrongdoing"? - ah to have a Fairy Godfather in Uncle Nick.....

My understanding is consuming isn't illegal but transporting from one place to another is trafficking and obviously giving it to one person is supplying.

But if Radley had been tested and shows negative you can't prove he consumed it. He can simply say I was thinking about consuming but didn't consume.

In terms of possession of an illicit substance, I think it can only be charged in real time, not on someone else's word that I gave it to him.

Illegal information stuff is interesting though so let's see where that goes.

You can't charge someone unless found in possession. Radley has no case to answer for in relation to this with the police. How the Roosters deal with it who knows.

yeah I understand physical possession vs hypothetical possession... it was more a tongue cheek dig at the roosters and unca nick....😀
