I saw a rumour we were getting Taylor before June 30th too so perhaps releasing Lamar is a move in that direction.

Weird move for him though… Dogs forward pack has way more depth, but I guess he had fallen down the pecking order here. I think he's still a pretty good chance to carve out a first grade career. I rate him.

Tigers and Bulldogs were in a fight to sign him 2 years ago from Keebra, looks like they got their man and if form has it they can keep him.

Elijah Taylor is a massive upgrade on Lamar. I am not sure that I would push Lawrence or Siro out for him, but would be much better cover in case of injuries, and could cover a few positions on the bench. If true though it makes me wonder what the coaching staff think of Chee Kam, as this is a role he should be filling at the moment.

Have we signed ET? Agree he's an upgrade on everyone outside of Sue and Lawrence in the backrow.

I can't see us signing Taylor for this season, we just won't have the cap space. Penrith can still use him and he's on a pretty good salary that they are not going to want to pay a large % of.

He really hasn't come on in the last 18 months unfortunately. We haven't had much luck developing second rowers.

We need Sirro Snr to be our second row coach… On Sirro, sat one row In front of him on Monday watching the U20's go around Bayley, his son was playing, crickey Sirro Snr has a foul mouth on him..no regard for the kids that were around him .... Haha...

Was Lamar in the top 25? Would releasing him allow JT to give Edwards/JAC/MCK/Griffin, etc. a crack in 1sts?

Lamar was not top 25 according to the list recently posted, although that list already had Edwards and MCK in the top 25 (not JAC or Griffin)…so the only hurdle to JT picking them in 1sts is JT...which has proven quite the hurdle so far.

If we do indeed sign Taylor then I think we need to move Sue back to bench prop. Sue will offer more coming off the bench anyway.

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Grant
11\. Lawrence
12\. Siro
13\. Taylor (can play 80 mins)

14\. Sue
15\. Ava
16\. Aloai/Lovett
17\. Cherrington/Halutau

We would be crazy not to shift Jesse to the back row and have Sironen as the interchange player with impact

I dont see a spot for Siro of we sign Taylor. He will have to play out of his skin to get into the 17\. We have to keep Josh A in the 17 and Joel Edwards muat get a chance.

Happy…I do not think Sirro plays like a impact player. He doesn't stand deep and power onto the ball and rip and tear in defence. These day I see him more as a worker than a impact player

Maybe the Tigers can do a swap with the Dogs and we get Shaun Lane for LL. Lane would be great off the bench with his size and power.

On Monday we had Lovett and Halatau in the 2nd row. Sirro will still be needed maybe just not always starting. It would be good to have competition for the backrower spots. I was hoping to see MCK get a go. He made a real go of it in the trials but hasn't got a look in.Glad to see Aloiai getting regular game time. He hasn't killed it yet but has been going pretty solid. Lovett has gone better than expected this year. Halatau was there for experience , with Lawerence back this week I can't see the need for Halatau and Cherrington.
If we did get E. Taylor I'd have him competing directly with Sirro for that starting 2 row spot.

I'll hear not a bad word about Sirro Snr. The man is a saint.

I've sat near him at games as well and all he ever really says is "control the RUCK, CONTROL THE RUCK"

Let him go to the panthers to link up with TMM and watch him shine. I like Lamar and think he's a quality player.

Was going to point out BMM is now at Salford, but then realised that you meant Te Marie. I think he is more in the BMM mould.

SC I agree he doesn't do that , but I reckon that is because they want to get 80 out of him , move him to the bench and see if he has more energy / zip playing less minutes
