Breaking news

Really Buchanan, Halatau, Lovett and Sirro should not be in our best 17 they just do not play at NRL level, if the Taylor rumours pan out then they can do this, even without Taylor we can still do this.

No big deal with Lamar. Was hoping to see him develop into the hard running back rower we need but it seems he'll have to compete with the rest of them at the Dogs.
So how does that make our strike rate with our Keebra Park connection?

well we let Martin go, Seve went home, now Lamar. in the past BMM, was a waste of space. the only one we have had luck with was Benji, the rest have either gone home or we got rid of them. I would the Keebra park thing is not working.

I have a few questions.
He was in the top squad right?
If so then does he take up some of our salary cap?

Can't see him playing first grade any time soon so maybe freeing up some cash and salary cap space for Broses bro's.

In any case, no loss imo.

Don't think he was in the top 25 squad Tooth. Extended squad 30-33 man squad.

Also it appears the Dogs are releasing Shaun Lane to accept a one year deal, in a players swap with the Warriors! Surely if we were letting Lio go to the Dogs we'd get Lane, or are the Dogs really signing 2 young kiwi second rowers to replace Lane??

I would not be saving any cap space money for the Broses bro's. They are still a long way from proving themselves worthy of it.

Will be interested to see what happens. Can't see the dogs signing 2 "prospects". We might be stuck with Lamar until the end of the season.

The dogs don't need any more backrowers, or frontrowers either, let alone fit them under the cap.

I saw Raymond Faitala-Mariner mentioned as the player being swapped with Shaun Lane. I'd prefer Lane going off what I've seen of the two so far.

I posted this ages ago but my old housemate was close friends with Lamar and also John Asiata from the Cowboys (John really rated Taylor as a coach too from his time at the Roosters). It was around the time there was a lot of hype around Lamar coming out of Keebra so I asked her to ask Lamar if he was staying at the Tigers as there were rumours on here that he was going to the Dogs. He said that he was going to stay for a few years but would probably end up at the Dogs after that because from memory he had said his brothers play there or something along those lines.

No big loss, he never really kicked on anyway.

Surely Ray has to join Panthers?

He can join:
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
Reagan Campbell-Gillard
James Fisher-Harris
Zach Dockar-Clay
Corey Harawira-Naera

Canterbury are set to announce they have traded promising second-rower Shaun Lane to the Warriors for Raymond Faitala-Mariner.

The rival NRL clubs are expected to make the swap official on Thursday night.

He really hasn't come on in the last 18 months unfortunately. We haven't had much luck developing second rowers.

We need Sirro Snr to be our second row coach… On Sirro, sat one row In front of him on Monday watching the U20's go around Bayley, his son was playing, crickey Sirro Snr has a foul mouth on him..no regard for the kids that were around him .... Haha...

All crass and no class. I'm surprised though. Doesn't seem to be that sort of person.

ah wasnt going to post anything about it before, but i was actually pretty disappointed to read that.
sure, its awesome to be a legendary hard man, but obviously in his day men were allowed more leniency with how they comported themselves.

these be different times though…still, id be absolutely gutted if i ever read garry jack was at a game swearing in front of kids and ladies.
