Breakout Star/Rookie Of 2022

Reece Hoffman for mine. People talk about the backs from the Jersey Flegg team but Hoffman played nsw cup and is still oung enough to pla Jersey Flegg next year so is a step above them. What he did well was defend and what we need is a good defensive centre. With Talau and Kepoa returning from long term injuries I reckon he will start at right centre and stay their all year as he tightens up the defence

Again ...hopefully the Rookie of 2022 hasn't been signed yet ..and is a back rower ....with a massive motor ...massive thighs and speed to burn ......

Bringing back BMM are we?

No ...but I wouldn't be against the football Gods dropping a miracle on Simon Dwyer's lap ....

Ngati has that Brandon Smith kind of game and physique. He's a good leader. Could see him becoming a bit of a Darren Senter type for us.

Tuki is the best bet. Ogden and Dillon not far away either. Scolari in with a shout too.

Ogden would be the closest to NRL. The others all need time in NSW Cup. Dillon has a lot of work to do on his defence and to get rid of the clanger he has in his game. Scolari's defence is far superior to Dillon's, he is very safe under the high ball, has genuine pace and always wants to get on top of his oppenent. Pole is an outstanding talent as is SIone Tupou. Brandon Tumeth another great prospect as is Jordan Hill if he is still with the club.

Is he not on the outer at the club ? Heard he was super frustrated Pauga got selected for those games over him

No real loss there

A breakout year will be had by Blore.
Ogden as others have mentioned from the Rookie perspective.

That is if he’s still at the club

Don't care so much who the "Rookie Of 2022" is for WT as long as we have a "Breakout Star", because we are going to need at least one.

My main hopes are that Hastings prospers, the ute goes up another level or two, taking Blore and others forward with him, including the rookies.

The fact that Hoffman is further away from first grade than random guys from Qld in their mid 20s suggests he's a long way from first grade. I've never really seen anything in him. Slow, predictable, and average in defence. Hopefully we can ship him to the cows.
If he stays then he may even end up in the back row next year

I'm hopeful that Blore and Tuiagi will have good years. Not sure about Gildart, but wouldn't write him off. I wonder if AJ Kepoa in the centres might be good as well?

Are you joking? Reece, I suspect a fine young man. It's about time to tell how it is really is.

Needs a good kick up the backside - junior rep QLD means nothing after school. He needs to lift - he would not have gotten a game for Jersey Flegg this year. So many in front.Talent? Probably but come on mate. He has had NRL training all the way through and to be honest has been very disappointing. It's like "played rep so throw the kitchen sink at them".

Given a contract and guarantee of a top 30 spot. Not his fault but the system. He is literally just blocking a spot from someone who is talented but just can't get an opportunity.

Ogden, Scolari, Dillon will show him up every day of the week. Happy to prove me wrong.

Do the research! Not rocket science. It's in their DNA. I think they are from all walks of life - some have been seemingly from little means and others more but who cares. It's desire to win for the Wests Tigers!

Whoever gives these contracts out - they need horsewhipping! No idea. Who really wants it?

I've seen the next-gen coming through and training since June 26 - don't underestimate them - the young guns of the WestsTigers are coming through and they are very hungry.

That said - Reece can do it. Get over the crap and these "development contracts".

I would love to see him go gangbusters.

I'm with you...

I want to see Ogden blooded.
I hope Hill sticks around.

Excited for the future...

1 Dillon
2 Hill
3 Ogden
4
5 Scolari
6
7 Tannous
9 Anjoul

Some promising options in there
And that's not even mentioning the forwards.

I’d have player of the year Rua Ngatikaura ahead of Anjoul.

Yes. - genuine legend on and off the field. He's on my team.
