Brent Naden #256

Same story as always - Naden is a pretty decent wing/centre backup, seems to be happy to do a job in reserve grade and won't entirely embarrass himself in FG.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to move him on.

We have close to zero depth at the club and people trying to move a guy out the door who has just shown he can do a job if required ….

Same people calling for him to go probably looking at bringing another few 19 year olds into the Top 30 who can’t be trusted to do the job if needed

Was just starting to show some form again when he was injured in preseason it was a shame, looked capable of breaking the line on the weekend, discipline looks to be better this season too.

Think he is close to having a breakout game, I would be keeping him for another year, besides if Uncle Wayne wants him what does that tell you he's a pretty good judge of a footballer.

That was actually Luai who got across to force a bad pass after AD was beaten. Not spoken of enough.
Agree, it was good pressure by Luai but still think it was a great effort for Naden to smash Stonestreet, who is a pretty good finisher, over the sideline. Not sure if Luke does that.

I don't have a problem in having a couple of big bodies in the form of Skelton and Naden that can cover the wing, as long as Naden keeps the brain snaps under control.

He was in good position but I don’t think Stonestreet caught the ball did he?

Naden is a half decent back up but to me he looks a yard off the pace and not really strong in contact. I’d like to see young Luke get more opportunities as he could be out future.

I noticed when Hynes kick hit the upright Naden wasn’t scrambling. Those are the footy IQ things that I can’t cop from him.

Thought that was a cracker of a try saver on Stonestreet before we went to extra time.

That was just one of many crucial moments that decided that game.

Not sure if a lot of people acknowledged the importance of that tackle.
It was a cracker!
