Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers defeated Central Coast Storm at Leichhardt Oval this afternoon, and have now moved through to week 3 'the grand final qualifier' next Sunday 27th September, in which they will take on North Sydney kicking off at 1.15pm at Leichhardt Oval.

Following this game will see minor premiers 'Bankstown City Bulls' take on Wentworthville Magpies kicking off at 3.00pm, after Wentworthville defeated the Wests Magpies today at Leichhardt Oval.

We encourage all Tigers fans to head to Leichhardt Oval and support your might Tigers.

See you 1.15pm this Sunday 27th September as the Tigers race to fill a spot in the 2009 State Cup Grand Final

The North Sydney/Souths bandwagon always rolls out big numbers come finals time. Last year Campbelltown was like a Bears home game.

I urge all Balmain/Magpies/Wests Tigers supporters to get out there and make some noise on Sunday

I agree Smeg, there will be bigger numbers than the 1,500 or so that rocked up yesterday. They wasn't many WEnty fans at Ringrose the other week, and fewer yestreday.

The Bears fans will be out in force this Sunday, and I am hoping that all Tigers fans get out and support this lads who all have heaps of character and heart.

It's killing me that I won't be able to attend, as there is no way in hell I can get out of a function that me Lady organized :brick:

Yeah The Burrow Bears Bandwagon will be there in numbers no doubt. North Sydney will be a very tough ask for Fletch and his boys. But with the amount of ticker they have shown in the past few weeks, self belief will be the key to victory.
Hopefully the home ground advantage and Norths' week off will work in BRET's favour.
Is there some sort of law in which the ground can refuse entry to anyone wearing red/green/black on the day?? :sunglasses:

 Now that would be sweet.

This entire season has been underwritten by spirit and overcoming the odds.

The good thing is CT is that you and I, like everyone who has been there all year, know that the team will deliver regardless of ewhat the scoreboard may say after 80 minutes

Well we all know who wears the pants..

 yeah I know…pretty sad hey....but I put the gig off from yesterday to the following Sunday.
I just emailed Ray Hadley saying that his team should be calling both games being played this Sunday at Leichhardt.....as you can'r rely on HH 100.1 doing the call :brick:

I will be very surprise if Sioeli Makaui runs on this Sunday…...if he doesn't Balmain will miss his cheeky quick runs out of dummy half.

Still even without Sioeli, I think this side can beat this Norths team at Leichhardt.....I knew there was a reason I bought Grand Final tickets

Wara and Hunt are their key players who can inflict the most damage. Last time BRET had Wara contained very well. This is their key to beating the Bears again. Just a shame that both these guys are Ex-BRET players. :frowning:

Wara is still playing the game he learnt at Balmain and still has switch off moments as well.

Should be a good game

Interesting to see that Hanbury is still unavailable due to NRL commitments…...

How has Roquica been going on the wing in this grade? Is he a chance of getting a gig in 1sts next year?

Still uncertain if wing is his suited position. He has added much needed size to BRET's 3/4 line and diffused bombs with ease and confidence. I'm still a little supicious of his pace due to his mass bulk he has acquired this season. Does not seem a "class above" State Cup level at the moment.

I thought Roquica plays better in NSW Cup than he does in the U/20's.
Young players always step up when playing older players.
In my opinion- he has the size but the not speed to make 1st grade. He is hard to contain, has good safe hands, defence is okay however he juts needs to read the attack better.
Overall- another year in reserve grade will be his best bet. Improve on the little things in his game and work on his speed and he may be chance.

Also for Norths one to watch is Kaifoto.

Big lump that won't play huge minutes but has a motor and some real size.

But as CT alluded to. Control Hunt and you control the game

Hogan is the danger, this half back is a thinker ,he is always in the thick of it, and has a near perfect kicking game..
