Lets get him back for a swansong year and he can help nurture Tedesco into a champion fullback in his recovery year.
I am sure we could get brett cheap and offer him a coaching role or training role in retirement

Take a couple of panadol and have a lie down. It's not going to happen.

Nope. Plus the fact the man is 33 and hasn't played in the NRL for 3 yrs. Stick with the young guys

haha

Its not the worst idea I've ever heard. If he was keen and took up a small part of our cap, it could work. He would just be be filling in while Tedesco gets his ACL sorted.

Not happening, but I admit a small part of me would jump up and down like a schoolboy to have Hodgo back in Tigers colours.

call me crazy, but I'm with BigUnit on this one IF we could get him for this year.

Forget his age, he has been winning the man of steel awards over there. Obviously the NRL is a bit tougher, but I don't think they are worlds apart.

You just need to look at the way Buderus played today for a prime example - and he is a year older.

It's not as silly as what some people are making out.

Bit of an insult to one of our past best. :unamused:

Sheens has stated Lote doesnt have the legs to play fullback, I doubt he's think any differently to Hodgo

Sorry guys I think Brett Hodgson was a great player , but he'd lost that half a yard that made him such a dangerous player in the NRL even in his last season here .

Would love to see Hodgo here in a mentoring role to James , but would rather James got more experience playing as our No 1 fullback

Its not about replacing James, its about an experienced player filling in while Tedesco rehabs his knee over the next 12 months.

Lat can you really see that happening . We took a punt with youth with Tedesco ,Rowe sounds a real prospect also Any chance he could be called up

Willow's idea sounds a good un though Beau back at fullback , Lote and Reddy or Koroibate on the wings

Yeah, I mentioned a few posts up that it wasn't happening. Still nice to dream sometimes!

How is that an insult? I didn't mean it in a wrong way.
You would agree that he isn't up to first grade surely?
But he might go great in reserves if he wanted to come back to Australia and play for Wests or Balmain again.

S heens punted Hodgo a year or two too early imo , and people think he will give him a swansong year.
Hodgo was the biggest loss of any player we have ever lost . I want to remember Hodgo as one of our best ever players , one of the toughest ever to play the game ..not running around in state cup ..
offer him a coaching role ,he is definately up to it
