Yeah, what's wrong with that? If people are of the opinion that other people made their decision based on stupid, xenophobic reasons then why would they like it? Freedom of opinion and expression are fundamental democratic rights.

Make up your mind what you like - democracy or just your opinion.
Of course you are welcome to your opinion, but in this case it was in the minority.
Nobody is telling you your opinion is the wrong one but democracy decrees more people disagree - and some,I'm sure, for more than just the 'stupid, xenophobic reasons' you believe swayed them.

Those things aren't mutually exclusive - I like democracy because it allows me to express my opinion. There's more to the democratic model than just a form of voting. The voting system has shown itself (when on a large scale) to be overly susceptible to scare campaigns. Enough people would have voted for stupid, xenophobic reasons that it would have tipped the scale.
As a voting system it works better on a small scale **where all voters are informed and engaged in debate about the merits of the various options.**

Bit late now
@cktiger said:Oh, you mean the people who agree with you are the only ones whose vote should be valued?
All the others are dumbarse redneck racists I assume, who contribute nothing to the country and are not deserving of a say?
For the record, how do you know just as many people whose opinion differs from yours didn't first debate the merits before deciding on what they wanted?
Each man's vote is of equal value - even if you question its merit.
