Bring back Sheens

I think it shows that the coach is not the problem

The thread is somewhat tongue in cheek but yes that is my point.

That being said, the boys are showing spirit.

Tell me when Sheens has ever had to deal with an injury list like this and how we went during it:

Benji
Anasta
Galloway
Moltzen
Lawrence
Ayshford
Koroibete
Gavet
Tuqiri

and Groat/Bodene/Fulton have not played many this year.

Is this thread serious? Do you really think that all our injury woes are because of Potter?
FACT: This is Sheen's squad he assembled
FACT: Potter cant be blamed for injuries
FICTION: If Sheens were still coaching we would be in a better position right now.
This thread a load of bull excrement.

Fair point.

However, when I started this thread around the 20 min mark we were appalling. Dreadful. Our defensive structure was nonexistent and that is why I started this thread.

Happy with the boys spirit in the second half. However, we have some serious problems and I am less and less convinced each week that Potter is the answer.

Maybe it's bad luck, maybe conditioning and fitness. You really think it's the coach? He has had the team for 7 rounds! Bit early for the chopping block don't you think? I actually think they show more backbone and determination than what they did last year.

Last year was at least as bad.. It wasn't sheens fault then and certainly not potters fault now

Agreed.
This is Sheen's squad of players you imbecile…..
Wake up

Ur comment sounds a bit harsh but sheens assembled a good squad for this year, problem is they are all injured… Terrible run of injuries

Lol, methinks Sheens was sitting on top of the western grandstand with a sniper rifle picking off our players legs…

The only embarassing thing is this thread

They played badly in the 1st half , but hang in gamely in the 2nd and at least seemed to have so go forward

Potter obviously said something good at half time , and they responded

Spirit was there, maybe not as much as against storm but it was there. more than last year anyway. Unfortunately,, with all the youth and complete lack of cohesion due to injuries the attack could not gel, the defence was patchy and as ricky enlightened us all, younger players are easy to penalise.

It would be very interesting to compare the number and seriousness of injuries which have occurred to Wests Tigers first graders this year with the same statistics for 2005.

I just hope the original poster is not serious. Sheens is the single most responsible man for the huge hole we are in.

Sheens was blessed when he got sacked, it has worked out well for him. He left the place a total mess and would not be doing any better, probably worse. AT least this year we are showing a bit of guts with a injury ravaged side. He signed guys like Blair and Anasta, that are club killers salary cap wise really. Potter is there with a squad an coaching staff that he inherited. How on earth anyone can judge with fairly after 7 rounds with this squad is beyond me. Not to mention the fact we are without 6-7 regular starting first graders.

IN a cynical way i almost agree with the original post. They should bring back Sheens and make him oversee this debacle he helped create. Potter doesn't have a hope the way things are now, will be better placed to judge him when he get even close to a fit side on the paddock and when he can make his mark with the roster and coaching staff.

Not fully serious Eddie. But I am very concerned about where we are heading. Not seeing the direction I was hoping for post-Sheens. This was written after 15 or 20 mins.

The thread was started after 15 mins Happy and I have observed in this thread and elsewhere the pleasing spirit we showed.

But this underscores my concern that Potter is motivational style coach and not a technical one.
