Broncos v Cowboys. Does anyone really care?

well i didnt care

caught the last 40mins in my hour long lunchbreak at work. i reckon every could hear me scream.

best gf i've ever seen. best game i've ever seen.

proved that you dont need two teams who hate each other but two teams who respect each other to see a good game.

Switched it on during half time and waited until it started again to see the score was close, so decided to watch it for a while. As everyone is raving about it being such a great game, I have programmed th IQ to record the next showing to see If the first half was indeed enough to make it great.

Apart from the natural tension a close score line brings, take out the grandstand finish on the last play and some flashes from Milford, most of the forty five odd minutes that I saw were not overly special for mine. But hey, it was a finish that will last in the memory and maybe it was just my lack of interest.

Great Grand Final and second best I have ever seen just behind 1989.

I love WT but from day one in 2015 have backed Cowboys to win as they had the best roster and best player in the game. Also thought they had been ripped off the last couple of years.

This should now allow the JT debate about being an Immortal be settled once and for all.

Behind the 1989 GF the best I've seen

Oh and the 4 BRL premierships that the Wests Panthers won 1974 ,1975 ,1991,1992

may be an immortal someday, but it won't be on that display last night .
Was glad the cows won but Thurstons second half was ordinary , you can thank Morgan for that last try, not Thurston.
The game award was a joke.

brisbane stopped playing in the second half and decided to protect their lead.

cowgirls kept playing and kept trying different things.

jt deserves all the accolades . he comes across in the media as a good guy with a infectious laugh.

good luck to him.

Great game, but Bennett's tactics in the second half cost them the game, rather than try and put the game to bed, they tried to defend a four point lead and I suppose it worked for all but the last few seconds, but they should have used a attacking kicking game on the 5th rather than trying to slow the game down. Anyway amazing effort by both teams and what ever team lost could feel hard done by.

Such a beautiful GF day it is. Nibbles and appetisers are all prepared and the home brew is chilling. Menu for tonight is as follows…
Indian spiced chicken wings. (go great with a cold beer)
Turkey meatballs.
Home made Thai barbecued pork buns.( My favourite )
Little puffy dogs.
4 different kind of salads and an assortment of dips.
For dessert...
Caramel slice and Mint slice.( Everyone's favourite)
Sorry Geo, no pies today.
Go Cowboy's

Crikey Mama, talk about being a food tease! Vegemite on toast will be about the extent of it here….though the beverage side of things is more than covered. Go Cows!!! Bring home the bacon

Lol, FTB. At least you had the important side of things covered.

The winner of the grand final last night was Rugby League….A fantastic game and terrific crowd who were thoroughly entertained...

Big congrats to the Cowboys and their many supporters.....

To end on a positive …Mighty Wests Tigers still hold the record as the only team to beat the Cowboys in a Grand Final....

You are kidding right GCT

Thurston get a pass at his feet , evades two defenders , does a 360 looking for an option , dummies to one of the forwards and then finally draws the inside man marking Morgan

Yes Morgan creates the genius , but Morgan can even get the plane off the ground with Thurston's never say die attitude

Great game last night between 2 quality sides. Couldn't help thinking how far off this standard we presently are.

I ended up watching the game and i must say i agree with Formerguest. Milford was the standout for the game and Morgan's miracle ball to get them back in was special but in my opinion it wasn't all that special of a game. Loads of errors and bar a few moments a lot of uninspiring football. The cowboys had enough ball in the broncos 20 metres to win 2 games and Linnett dropped a couple that would have been tries. Great finish but had nothing on the 97 grand final between the knights and sea eagles.

CC medal was always gonna go to Thurston if Cowboys won, personally I think Granville or Milford should have won it. Thurston was getting smashed all over the place

Yes he was getting smashed, but he kept getting up. Never gave up. Not once.
That's why he deserved the medal.

My words at the start of the year - look like a real goose now  The eggs are on me tomorrow - scrambled, fried, poached and boiled you name it, but please be kind - it's my birthday

It takes a real man to admit when he is wrong Flip…

Thurston got the CC….what a joke...Milford was the best player on the field ..JT wasn't even the best in his team....Oh well sells the papers...

slap slap slap Geo. Who was better than Thurston? I hate the guy, think he's a grub. But he was everywhere. No cowboy came close to him. The hooker early em was good and Lowe the backrower was great…. but Thurston won it.

Milford was best on ground until he cost his team the win. Hunt didn't cost them, Milford did in the 79th minute

I must have watched a different game Thurston showed why he is the best in the game tonight, he was all over the park in defence and attack. Got smashed but got up again, the last try they scored he pushed those 2 props who smashed him all game off to spread it. Touched the ball more than any other player including the Cowboys hookers in that last 30mins.

Milford was brilliant in attack a handful of times but only when open play occurred for the Broncos aside from that didn't do much.

Tell it like it is Happy. JT's the man! :stuck_out_tongue:

I was amazed at how many Broncos fans hung around when the Cowboys did there lap of honour

Can't imagine too many Sydney based teams doing the same for other Sydney based sides
