He's my choice for 6 next season.

He was bought here to be our long term 6, but then Benji got another year and he was given first crack at fullback, so it makes perfect sense to play him there

Benji was signed before Doueihi

Doueihi was bought to replace Benji at 6

Not for 2020

Maybe not, but he was our long term 6, and he should be playing there, Benji should have been watching Doueihi play 6 for quite a while now

Doueihi was bought as a fullback for 2020 with the option of moving him to 5/8th in 2021. I think 2020 has shown he is a centre and is not a fullback or 5/8th

He played all his juniors at five eight, if he wasn't a 6 why didn't one of his junior coaches move him, and why did Bennett tell him he was going to be souths 6, they can't all be wrong

And I think he would be an asset defensively as well. I tend to think that in our current line players both inside and outside Benji are trying to compensate for him even at a subconscious level. This affects our structure and shape. With Doueihi there, he is a bigger body with sound technique and may help us with our right side defence.

I tend to agree. The MT stat alone is high, but it doesn’t tell the full story. I think it’s possible that one day we will see no need to hide halves in the defensive backline. Doueihi at 6 may provide an improved defensive structure that other coaches will look at keenly.

and worked well everytime this year. Mbye has been hands down our best fullback in limited opportunities this year. Douiehi has been best at centre. Its not rocket surgery.

Brooks is going to experience what it's like to have all the media and fans criticise him to a whole new level next year. He has always had someone else to cop it.

It will likely be a career defining season for him and unless he works on his game(especially his kicking) in the offseason, I honestly wouldn't want to see Doueihi playing in the halves with him - thought his most comfortable position was in the centre's tbh - and while I wasn't originally a fan I'd rather a Sezer type signing to help with this conundrum.

Brooks train has been in full swing for a few years and rightly so

With Brooks at 7 its the finals death knell anyway. Doesn't really matter who plays next to him. Im sure he'll lead the team to a fantastic 15th-12th spot.

Brooks need to improve massively in try assists, kicking game, passing (cut out passes etc). Being able to break the line sometimes would be rad. I'm nervous for the man. With it likely being Mbye or similar they aren't famous for try assists either and Brooks will be leading our attack every game for the season.

Still shocked he doesn't throw a good spiral pass(pretty easy to learn you'd thunk). The harbour bridge floaters just don't cut the mustard any more...

I would try either Mbye or Douaihie at 6. I definitely would play Douahie at 6 or centre as he is too often caught out of position at fullback. MBye has done OK at fullback. I would like to see him doing more of what Tedesco does, hovering around the middle, trailing guys and gereally getting his hands on the ball in every attacking set.

Who cares who is going to partner Brooks it’s not going to be Benji so there is no issue or worries according to all the Benji knockers

I mean if you can find one quote from a poster where they say they’re excited for a Brooks/AD/Mbye combo next year I’d be surprised

All signing Benji for one more year does is just stall our development, and probably finish 9-12th again
