That is stupid. We got the spoon last year and we are dead last this year. We make meaningful changes all the time. We've had a roster overhaul and the coaching staff sacked our halfback and sent him to Newcastle because he wasn't any good.

Yes many have said that to prove the point to you and your besty Paws and the other Sheens Benji bootlickers,that it really wasnt Madge that caused the problems at this club,it went further back than that and those are now in coaching positions because of the great CEO that has been here for longer than he should have been....Madge tried his best to clear the decks and put us in a far better position,the piss poor players,the boys club,and chair have all contributed to the clubs woes,as a matter of fact Madge knew where we needed good players hence Api and Pappi were recruited by him NO ONE ELSE,so spare me the Sheens done it from England bullshit,...Madge got the pathways going again,NOT Sheens or Benji and Madge was shafted because he cleaned the garbage out that Cleary left and this paved the way for the great 2005 winning coach to take his place while installing the greatest player this club has know as an NRL coach for 5 years without ANY FORMAL COACHING EXPERIENCE AT ANY LEVEL....and all you can say is lets wait until seasons end...

Yeah mate I cant wait to cop the crap off my mates that support the other 16 teams in this comp...

Most people wanted him gone. I had no problems with him. I think people assume change will improve situations but it's not necessarily true.

Madge bought in Hastings, IP, Koroisau and he was trying to get more players. Sheens did bring in Klemmer and Bateman but maybe that could have happened without sacking Madge.

All we can do now is give it some time. I know that sucks and it's not what people want to hear but I can't see how you can try a different approach 6 weeks into season 1 of a 4 or 5 year plan.

In saying that I get the impression this coaching idea was a crazy idea come up by drunk people and everyone just ran with it.

Can’t compare because Hastings didn’t have the forward pack like he would now if he was still here with us. Plus even despite coming last, he was still directing the team telling our players what he wants them to do. The stuff a 7 should be doing. Yet our 7 can’t even play the basics. If Hastings was here with us now, we wouldn’t be 0-5.

He won a comp at the sharks mate. I don’t think the sharks have any idea what it’s like being a wests supporter. The cows had the young pack just like the broncos all both teams needed was a smart controlling 7. Tigers finally got a good pack we are third in run meters and 2nd in sets inside op 20. It’s our halves that can’t finish. Brooks should take the offer to go the UK

Actually worse than last year's last when there were only 16 teams, we are now coming 17th.

Gee, teams that people were talking about as contenders for the spoon are playing some good football even if it is only in patches and we are playing complete shit.

I was pretty upbeat in the off season, probably hoping more than believing that Brooks might come good.

I mean all the talk and vibes coming from the coaching area about their confidence and belief in Brooks made you want to believe that some how they were going to unlock the potential locked up deep inside the guy.

What the hell did they do in the off season to justify saying that they were going to play this entertaining style of attacking football?

Looks like someone was listening because I see some of the other NRL teams doing it and we are lucky to catch a ball or back up when someone manages one of our all too rare line breaks.

Could have done worse than hang onto Hastings this year to see out his contract and whether he played in the #13 or the #7 he still would have contributed more to the management of this team than anyone else that we currently have.

Hope to be proved wrong and that we eventually get it together and come good but on what I am currently seeing I have severe doubts.

Has anyone watched Sheens coaching insider. He basically stated Brooks has been pretty good and the problem is everyone expects him to score or set up 5 tries a game or something.

I don't totally agree. I think in a couple of key situations this season Brooks has come up with terrible options or poorly executed options. I think he has had this problem his whole career. He really struggles executing in the attacking zone.

In stating that I think Brooks has been far and away our best half this season and apart from those key moments he has been decent. He deserves his spot and I hope he has another good game today. I'd love to see him ice some critical moments as well.
