Brooks keen to improve little things ahead of Raiders clash

I think you have to create a pretty big hole for the players on his side to run through. So many times he runs to the line, creates an overlap or puts the defenders under pressure and there is no-one there in support. Halves need players around them running lines and giving them options.

I don't think Luke Keary's running and ball playing is any better then Brooks, he just has people around him that can take advantages of what he creates.

And no, I don't think Brooks is a 5/8.

brooks form is more volatile then bitcoin
much rather them see him with 6 on the back as he isnt a game manager by any stretch of the imagination

i know they play left and right but somebody needs to be responsible for getting the team down the field and thats historically the 7

The problem with Brooks is he just doesn't step up in the big moments.

Better than some teams in golden point tho......

If running game is his thing, benji needa to give him lessons in stepping,

Our record is the worst in golden point isn't it? 25% or something since 2003. Not that he's been here since 2003 obviously but it hasnt improved since he came into first grade from memory. And the 2 FG he missed against Penrith early in the year was bad.

Sing along with Brooksy!

We’re the mediocre Tigers, someone hand me a beer,
With constant ‘rebuilding’, no cap space I fear.
A mathematical possibility, but we’re stuck in third gear.
We’ll make it to ninth place, that’s nothing to cheer.
And the West Tigers mantra; There’s always next year

Brooks is going backwards. He's been working little things for years now, still no closer to improving them though

Accurate. His fan boys will disagree however.

He is what he is. He will never be any better.

and I think that's due to the style Madge wants him playing... Last year he was calling the shots over Benji and roaming around as such, where as this year Benji has taken the drivers seat and Brooks has taken the back seat, although the talk is that Brooks is calling the shots, it certainly doesn't seem like it.

Whilst I have been impressed with Brooks defence, his attack and game management has been very poor, but I honestly believe it will improve if Benji wasn't there, and Benji is no game manager to learn off.
I think Benji's presence is enough to put Brooks off, which is worry, but I think he will improve heaps if Benji was gone

Agree 100%

@Muffstar
I hear you, as much as i like him and his Potential, same every year about this time of the year. How Long is Luke Brooks on Contract. didnt madge re sign recently, i think?

@TheDaBoss At the predicted temperature of 3°C they WILL be little things 😉

Same old, same old. As usual halfway odd through season Brooks comes up with both he and WT needing to improve game. Heard it too many times in the past. Just darn well do it and do it consistently and WT will be immeasurably better and just maybe we will be final 8 bound. It's in your hands fellas, not ours as supporters.

Maguire sure has a task to get this mob sorted and firing.
