Brooks/Moses

Surely it's time for the halves to step up and do more during the game. The two boys have a huge amount of talent and showed what they can do whilst playing U20's. They need to run it more themselves and start putting the opposition in two minds. If the halves get more involved off the back of what our forwards are doing they'll make the playoffs, if they don't, we are no hope.

Many teams this season are pre-occupied with playing by far the majority of each match in the forwards. The Bulldogs in today's match were a prime example. They had numerous chances to score after playing complete sets in the Dragons 20 metre but struggled to score a try. This game needs game breaker backs and this is where Brooks and Moses come in. Taylor must very soon let them loose and allow them to play their natural game.

Halfbacks and 5/8 do not come of age till they are 25 , these guys are not even 21 we all knew we were going to have ups and downs this season, you cannot win games with 40% possession.Simple errors are costing us dearly cut those out and we easily beat the dogs and the Warriors.

I'm liking what I see , the results will come it's a long season.

he will, eventually. we're going fine i dont see a reason to throw them in the deep end.

play it simple, get that stuff down then start slowly bringing in harder things like playing a bit squarer and taking the ball to the line as well as playing a bigger part in those sweeping plays. right now the plan looks to be farah, swing it to moses/brooks who takes 3 steps and throws it to teddy who scores/sets up the try.

soon enough we'll have moses chiming in where tedesco is right now a la bulldogs round 19 2014\. maybe even catching it wider than teddy at the moment. also notice the lack of grubbers from moses/brooks lately. JT will start focusing on that soon enough as well.

JTs obviously got a plan to bring them through, by the middle of next year they should be really clicking and destroying teams (but hey if it happens earlier like say on sunday, im all for it)

We have already been through all this in another thread as TT has stated.

It was not the halves fault we lost the game - there were various OTHER reasons the defeat happened - which has all been said before in the other thread as well.

Even if it was their fault - they are not going to stand up, because obviously they have been told not to. People insist on blaming them though.

They are youngsters - get off their back - let JT coach the side, he seems to be doing a pretty good job so far.

Dear God….how many of these threads do we need....

They are young halves learning their trade in the week to week grind of the NRL they are doing fine...you would think that we were 0/6 for crying out loud....

If they sparked up in attack with good positive kicks and take the right options we could excuse their defence, but as of now they are not delivering in attack or defence.

Make the playoffs…...
What fairy dairy land are you in.
I reckon they are now red hot favourites fo the wooden spoon...where can I get on

Any reputable sports betting agency…probably some dodgy one's as well...

I might get a flogging like these two halves but i think Farah should take some responsibility back .

He has had some good kicks playing No 9.
Right now he is counting entirely on Brooks and Moses to kick but reality is these boys are failing more often to find good kicks

I miss Robbies creativity and kicking game too LtWT… :frowning: just now and again i would like to see Robbie take charge, when our halfs are struggling to controll the game.

We basically have 2 halves that don't run the ball, have poor kicking games and can't tackle lols oh and our best player sits on the bench for 10-20minutes a game. We didnt need to retain blake austin though did we… zzzzzz's

No we didn't if you are asking a question.

Interesting comment from Austin after the game stating that Canberra forwards knew they would roll through the WT forwards in the second half.Maybe that comment had some thing to do with the wind advantage, but in fairness to Brooks and Moses if our forwards are not going to go forward and set a platform than these two can not be expected to perform miracles.

I agree forwards did not have enough aggression in the second half to much Raiders forwards.

2015 is for Brooks and Moses apprenticeship.
If Jason Taylor want to win he would've brought in Josh Drinkwater.
Not go back to the old ways of Farah running around like a chook without a head.
